LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Sports Camp week 2- Flag Football - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of flag football camp, children will focus on the fundamental skills of football such as passing, punting, kicking and defense. Agility and hand-eye coordination will also be emphasized. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of flag football camp will focus on the basic rules of the game such as flag guarding, off sides , false start and passing interference, as well as the scoring system for football and the duties of each position. Additionally, modified games of flag football will be played during the third hour. As the skills of each child advance over the course of the week, the third hour will consist of more realistic game-like situations. Equipment will be provided. New This Year! Thursday Field Tri ps ! Join Faith Hibbs-Clark, CSA casting director as she hosts her funnest and most informative kids auditioning camp ever! Your child (ages 8 to 16) will enjoy an entire day of educational games and audition lessons and fun! They will have so much fun with the holiday themed "party" they won't even catch on to the fact they are learning. They will work with holiday themed commercials as well as holiday themed film scripts, compete in fun and festive competitions, create projects, and enjoy a good old fashioned pizza lunch. $150/$140 if registered and paid for by December 1st 2015. December 21st 2015 9 AM to 4 PM Held at Sol Acting Academy in ABQ, NM Taught by Faith Hibbs-Clark, CSA casting director who has been casting for 16+ years! Our goal is to refresh your children spiritually as well as socially before returning back to school. This will be a great opportunity for all of us to get connected and stay connected for years to come. Promised Land Ministries is a Christian based organization that holds retreats for an array of different ministries including youth. We have joined together with them to create an eventful, fun-filled experience for August. Our days will be packed with loads of fun outdoor activities, balanced out with daily devotions and small group breakout sessions. We will be camping in tents so please be aware. This retreat is for members only between the ages of 12-18. Heather Downs CC is proud to offer the Summer Junior Golf Camp This clinic is open to intermediate golfers, both boys and girls, ages 11 and older. 45 minutes will be spent teaching the basis fundamentals of putting and chipping at the practice green and 45 minutes will be spent at the driving range teaching the mechanics of a proper full swing. Director of Golf, Dan Sutton and Assistant Professional, Grant Bollin will be on hand to lead the instruction in an enjoyable atmosphere for all participants.
