When: June 22-26 Where: Teen Extreme, Pensacola Christian College, Pensacola, FL Why: Because a week with friends, having fun, eating awesome food, playing awesome games, growing closer to God is what camp is all about! Summer camp at Teen Extreme will be a safe, fun, and encouraging time for all 7th - 12th graders. It is a good bonding experience where teenagers are out of their comfort zone and God draws them together in unity through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, godly music, team games, and good memories. Global Scientists - Middle School
Nearly one billion people on our planet lack access to clean water. Thats one billion people who cant drink from a faucet, shower or cook a meal without risk of illness - or worse! In this course, students will collaborate with a Global Partner Student from a developing country to help quench the thirst of the world. Through video message exchanges they will learn about each other and explore how water is used in each others culture, study the chemical properties of water and the water cycle, and then use the engineering design process to build, test and tweak biodomes, water towers, and water filtration systems to better understand how water systems can be polluted and purified. As their understanding of the subject matter grows, students will work closely with their Global Partners to develop a hands-on research project that shows the water problems each of their countries face while sharing practical ways to address these problems and help bring clean water to the world! Improve your skills while having a great camp experience. We will teach the fundamental skills of basketball and provide self-help drills. Each camper will be given the tools to improve on their own. Through this quality instruction, all campers will improve and gain self-confidence in themselves. Finally, campers will be given the opportunity to meet new friends and have fun! Bring a peanut free bag lunch daily, swim gear and water bottle. Group will swim at Reynolds Pool during the last hour of camp. Our goal is to give you a dynamic week of training tailored to your ability that will help build the foundation for a great wrestling career. We provide a safe, enjoyable environment and emphasize the ethical aspects of the sport. Participants will work on techniques in the morning, including set-up actions, positions, throws, offense, counter offense, bottom, and more. Live wrestling will take place during the afternoon. The camp will be divided into two groups, junior wrestlers (grades 1 - 5) and senior wrestlers (grades 6 - 12). GFS Wrestling coach and former college wrestler Paul Hammond will not only be directing the camp, but he also will be sharing his passion for the sport he has been practicing since he was fourteen.
