Teen Sewing Camp: Staple Dress - Lake Charles, LA
The summer is the perfect time for your teen to learn how to sew clothes! The Staple Dress is a fun, beginner first clothing project. In this workshop, we will teach your teen how to read and cut a pattern, and sew a dress of their very own! A basic knowledge of sewing is required for this class. July 21st-22nd: 1pm-5pm (8 hours total) $65 includes pattern and elastic thread. Campers should bring fabric (see chart) and coordinating thread. Campers can bring a snack if desired. Ages 13 and up
Send A Kid 2 Camp - Clinton Township, MI
On April 19th @ 6PM we will be hosting a "fun"draiser at the Stray Cat Lounge in Clinton Township. $10 cover charge gets you a buffet style pasta dinner. There will be a 50/50 raffle and a Silent Auction. All monies raised will go to Kids Burn Camp at YMCA Camp Manitoulin. It takes $500 to send one kid to camp but the return on investment is priceless.

Serving underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who have talent and interest in mathematics and science is a high priority of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. We believe that we must actively recruit from all regions of the state of Illinois. In addition, we believe we must address the challenges of underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students through contact and intervention in the form of academic enrichment programming. This is one of those programs. The Academy continues to create and develop a culturally rich and inclusive environment that affirms and celebrates individual differences. The Integrated Science Program is a competitive application program, for students who have completed 8th grade and 1 year of pre-algebra and who are interested in application to IMSAs Residential High School Program.
