Fencing captures the imagination of kids of all ages, but it requires a trained, experienced instructor to learn safely and correctly. The Young Scholars Fencing Program is being run by the coaches of the Central PA Fencing Association. Coach Wes Glon, the Head Coach of the PSU Fencing Team personally trains and hires the coaches for this program. Coach Chuck has 40 years of fencing experience and has been part of the CPFA programs since 2006. Your child will learn the basics of sabre fencing with an emphasis on sportsmanship, safety and history. This picturesque camp is quietly located between the Chugach Mountains and the Cook Inlet. It has been welcoming campers since 1961. My 10 year old son loves any outdoor activities. This camp is perfect for him. The non-judgmental philosophy of the camp makes it a place where children and teens can grow. So the kids are off from school today...Bring them to Kayla's Creative Art Studio for an fun, artful, educational experience! Our dedicated Instructors have designed Kids Mini-Camps for all the days that the kids are off from school between now and the New Year. Students will experiment with different mediums to create a new masterpiece each day! Students are welcome to bring a peanut-free snack and drink. Come connect with the animals and learn what they like to do for fun! This exciting camp teaches the importance of enrichment. Enrichment is anything that encourages the animals to make choices, exhibit natural or species-appropriate behaviors. It also presents mental challenges for the animal, encourages physical activity/exercise and enhances their overall health and well-being. Our campers will discover what type of enrichment is best for each animal, create it and then watch the animal ambassador enjoy it!
