Great Summer All Around
The week before our son was getting ready for the camp he was planning out all the things he wanted to do. Top of the list were the rifle shooting and archery. Of course, he got to try a little bit of everything. Now when I ask what his favorite thing to do at Camp Bear Track was he changes every five minutes! He even seems to like golf! We’re debuting 5 mini-camp sessions designed specifically for the “older kiddos!” These camps focus on fun and skill building over 3 consecutive afternoons of concentrated creation – allowing time for larger projects and deeper investigation of themes hand picked from customer recommendations! These camps run from 1-4 in the afternoon and are designed for students in 5th grade and up. Early bird registration rates are $75 for 1 mini camp, $100 after May 15. August 2-4: FLOWER POWER – Power to the petals! During this camp you’ll be learning the basics of flower arranging and creating artworks inspired by flowers.

Summer Camp Open House in our Community Gallery on the lower level FREE for everyone to attend! Join us at this fun open house so you can catch a glimpse of the camps we offer for children during the summer. Sample art stations are set up so you and your children can take home art projects! DCA camp instructors will be available to answer any questions students or parents may have. You can also register for your camps on this night. We'll also have raffles to give away free camp registrations!

Pre-register for a 10am audition time for Peninsula Youth Theatres CENTERSTAGE production of "SEUSSICAL." Registration guarantees you a spot in the 10am audition group. You must be age 8-18 or have prior executive director approval. Children must be 8 by 3/17/16 to participate. PLEASE NOTE: TO KEEP YOUR SPOT you must arrive by 9:30am with your paperwork completed for check in and measurements. If you have not arrived by 9:45am your spot will be given to someone on the waiting list and you will be moved to the next available audition slot. We cannot guarantee that that will be the next audition group. End time is approximate - if you are dropping off your child you should ask producers for a better estimate based on how auditions are going. 650-988-8798

This process-oriented class focuses on using different art mediums and using our different senses while creating. The best aspect of this class is how fun it is going to be! Students will write a script, produce, direct, film, and star in a movie in our exciting 1 week camp! Beginning the first day campers will create a story, develop characters, design sets, even work on costumes and make-up. They will then get a crash course in camera work and filming techniques using digital video equipment. Putting all the skills together, students make a movie!
