Fall Teen Adventure Weekend - West Branch, MI
Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. Cost is $75 for Y members and $90 for non-members and includes: meals, lodging, use of canoeing gear, transportation between Camp Timbers and the Au Sable River, and programming. Beginning Hands on Clay - UWF Main Campus
Clay is a great way to have fun and get creative. No experience needed. Students will be introduced to techniques with hand building and throwing basic forms on the potters wheel. They will create dynamic surface decorations using glazes, slips and applied elements. Please wear clothes you dont mind getting dirty and bring a towel. Camps will include all necessary supplies. The students artwork can be picked up two weeks after the class ends. An additional session of this camp will be offered June 20-24. 8504737468.0
Adventure Camp - Week 3 (4 Days Only) - The Greenwell Foundation
Adventure Camp (ages 8-12 by first day of camp session). This week, Camp runs for 4 days only (Tuesday to Friday) Why is Adventure Camp different? Campers are provided the opportunity to explore further into the park with longer hikes, shelter building, and learning how to build a campfire – and then Smores! Part of Adventure Camp is letting the group direct what activities they would like to do by coming up with new and exciting adventures. The staff has the freedom to be creative when making these fun adventures come to life. Campers will have an opportunity to kayak twice during the week, including a visit to the Hollywood Oyster Company. They will create and run their own unique obstacle course, go fishing and crabbing from the pier, and build their own boats out of recycled materials and test to see if they are sea-worthy. Mid-week, campers will hike to the Manor House area where they can build forts with bamboo, explore the gardens, play water games and capture the flag, visit the Barn and participate in our Nature Time program.
