Campers will have hands-on learning experiences working as healthcare providers. Activities will include learning how to take blood pressures, apply personal protective equipment, listen to heart and lung sounds, give injections, start IVs, suture wounds, participate in a simulation scenario and much more. Kid's Campout with the Prickly Pear Living History Museum - San Antoni
Do you want to help your kids build a connection to nature, but aren’t sure how? Do you struggle to get them away from screens? On March 19th and 20th Government Canyon State Natural Area and the Prickly Pear Living History Museum will be co-hosting a camping event for kids ages 10-16 and their parents. No screens allowed, but no one will be bored. Instead, we’ll talk about how local Native Americans survived and thrived in the same places we now call our home. For hands-on learning we’ll have reproduction tools, weapons, and natural resources for everyone to explore. Along the way, kids discover how to be hike leaders and why it’s important to be good caretakers of the land. We’ll provide most of the equipment. Maximum of two kids and two adults per group, so that more kids can enjoy the experience. Space is limited to 12 people. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED! Our last event filled up fast. Engineers help figure out how to make food, package it, and how to deliver it to your table. During this camp, students will learn the engineering behind the fishing industry and how to protect other animals and the coral reef in the process, how designing the perfect environment for plants to grow can help increase food production, and learn how chemical and industrial engineers concoct different tasty recipes and manufacture them quickly using assembly lines to produce tasty treats in the quickest way possible. *This is not a cooking camp* (904) 707-2121

Instructor: Village Center for the Arts () Room: A-2 Learn to draw all your favorite characters from a galaxy far, far away. Create your own Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Yoda and more, even X-Wings and Tie Fighters! Each class focuses on one or two characters, starting with basic shapes and stick figures, and working our way up to a complete, colored drawing each week.
