Since 1999, the Hamilton Area YMCA has provided recreational and social opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Through our SKOR program, participants build self-confidence and social skills, form lifelong friendships, and strive to achieve their highest potential. In addition to celebrating the achievements of our SKOR participants and sampling great food and cheer from local establishments, we will also recognize Gregg Gates as the Maurice T. Spartan Quest PM (12:30-3) 1 week 1st-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: John Leddy "Summertime fun begins at Spartan Quest, (formerly known as Sports Camp). This class will run for all 10 weeks of summer school giving your camper a consistent, exciting summer daycamp experience. We will spend the mornings doing fun things on campus like; playing games, flying kites, dodge ball, hide-n-seek, flag football, basketball, video games, etc…. We also will build our own fun when we build things like; bow and arrows from PVC pipe, marshmallow shooters, mini-golf-courses, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, and anything else we can think of! In the afternoon we continue our fun off campus at places like; Tanganyika, ice skating, roller skating, Lazerquest, Watson Park, mini-golf, All-Star Adventures, Water Center, Bug Lady and many more too numerous to mention. This class is designed for students entering 2nd to 8thgrades who are looking for unlimited fun and adventure. Enroll all day for the entire summer for the special price of $1680, or pick and choose the weeks that fit your schedule. Weekly half day morning or afternoon options are available too. Camp Tiny Feet -Session 3 - Whetstone Community Center
Camp Tiny Feet provides an exciting opportunity for growth through friendship, physical activity and exploration in a safe and secure environment. Campers will acquire strong social skills and become better equipped to manage group situations. Each session will feature one visiting performer as well as swim lessons, taught four days a week. Campers will enjoy themed games, crafts and plenty of outdoor play. Campers bring their own snack. This camp is a creative combination of art and space. Campers will use visual arts to explore the final frontier! Two dimensional projects, such as drawing, painting, and collage, will focus on design elements such as color, line, and shape. Using clay, campers will take inspiration from textures and patterns found in space when they learn the basics of hand building techniques and out-of-this-world wheel throwing.
