Fun, Eco Friendly Summer Camp for teens. Come learn about found object art, nature in art, paper making, natural dying and so much more! Then once camp is over, we will have a special Gallery Showing of all the artists pieces at the June Trolley Hop. An environment encouraging use of the imagination, learning to take care of our Earth and discovering everyone is an artist! This will be at our new facility at 2216 Frankfort Avenue.

Hear from students, families, dancers, and staff about new initiatives that will connect, engage, and empower youth and the wider Baltimore community. The Baltimore Dance Crews Project is excited to launch Spring Forward - a campaign to support BDCP youth. Our goal is to raise $20,000 between March 18th and May 14th for BDCP programs. Our soft lanuch is an opportunity to learn about BDCP and how to become a supporter. Skateboarding Camp 3rd-8th grades - Mitchell Park Community Center - City of Palo Alto
Challenge yourself and build self-confidence with a focus on safety, skateboarding fundamentals, conditioning and technique. Each day is structured as skateboarding lessons, education, snack time, game time and play time. Helmets are required and safety pads are strongly recommended. Parents must sign waiver form with registration. Designed with the collaborative workshop model in mind, campers will enjoy an in-depth exploration of two essential tech tools: Scratch programming and Lego stop animation. Using MITs Scratch programming language, fundamental concepts will be taught so campers can start creating stories, games and animations and even try applying some of these skills to games like Minecraft. Well then investigate tricks of the trade for creating Lego stop animation movies so campers can make their very own flicks. The week ends with a culminating workshop day for students to tweak and expand existing projects. No previous experience necessary; just come with curiosity and readiness to have fun! MOUNTAIN BIKING 101 $250 Grades 6+ June 13-17 8:30AM-2:00PM Did you know that within a half mile of the Greensboro Day School campus is access to over 35 miles of the best municipal mountain bike trails in North Carolina!?! Looking to build on a successful first year at the 2015 GDS summer camp , we are back for even more fun for 2016 with two sessions available! [MTB 101 June 13-17 and MTB 201 July 25-29] For a full week, your child will get the opportunity to safely explore our amazing local Greensboro mountain bike trails while also learning basic mountain bike repair and maintenance. Instruction will be provided from highly experienced local bike shop mechanics combined with skills instruction and guided rides from certified International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) guides. This camp will split time between instruction, skills sessions and most importantly bike riding! All your child needs is a bike in good working condition with knobby tires and a helmet.
