Nature Nuts After School Program Germantown Elementary ($85/for 7 classes) Tuesdays: Feb 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, March 1st, 8th ,and 15th The Nature Nuts program brings the excitement and fun of the new EcoAdventures right to your school! Using a hands-on approach to learning, our goal is to empower students to take action on issues concerning conservation and the environment. Students will encounter a variety of live animals such as tarantulas, toads, lizards, giant roaches, snakes, crocodiles, frogs, small mammals, turtles, and much more! *NOTE: This program counts towards the requirements for GREEN SCHOOL CERTIFICATION. $55/4 week session, SPACE is LIMITED! *Please bring a peanut free snack/drink and email us if your child is going to be absent or in SAAC. Exciting Activities For Girls
This camp for girls is an excellent way to get your daughter out into nature in order to enjoy so many fun activities. My daughter went horseback riding, swimming, sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and did arts and crafts and learned a lot about musical theater. She had such a great time. The cabins were nice, the staff is excellent, and she took away so much from her experience there. She can’t wait to go back next summer.... Read More...

OPAL's multi-racial youth program, Youth Environmental Justice Alliance, is organizing a community event to raise awareness about a campaign to sustain and expand the YouthPass program in Portland. Our goal for the campaign is to show the city, TriMet, our schools, and our community that affordable public transportation is important for youth to lead healthy lives, be able to thrive, and be successful. The youth-led event will officially launch our campaign and engage with community members and decision makers, especially in East Portland neighborhoods. There will be educational booths about transit justice, powerful youth testimonies, and cool performances! YouthPass to the Future Campaign: We want all high school students in Portland to be able to go to school and access opportunities that prepare them for success. Transit is an educational right! Let's permanently fund YouthPass and expand it to Parkrose and David Douglas High Schools! Free food. Guest speakers. Youth Stories. Performances.

The total is $325 (includes EVERYTHING except for any extra money you'd like to bring for the day trip into Avalon). This year we are asking you for a $20 DEPOSIT BY FEBRUARY 8TH!!! We need you to get in an early deposit so we know how many spots to reserve for our church. Be sure to get those deposits in to guarantee your spot (we will only have a few extras just in case, but not a lot). The next deposit will be $100 which will be due on APRIL 12TH. Boys and girls work on tumbling: cartwheels, round offs, hand stands, front hand-springs, back hand-springs, and back tucks. We have balance beams, a bar, trampolines, and much more! We focus on strength, flexibility, coordination, healthy eating, fitness, and learning to love our bodies. 512-331-7036
QuadCopter Aerial Robotics – Ages 12-15 - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Price Includes $100 lab fee Campers will explore aerial robotics technology with fun and engaging educational scenarios and challenges. This camp offers aviation flight skills and interactive robotics training, and encourages camper interest in the career fields of Science, Math, and Engineering. Campers will build prototypes with the new technology and run test scenarios for safety, search, and rescue. Multiple teams of four will apply technology and planning to build a quad rotor designed for a specific first responder mission. Missions include: delivering pharmaceuticals to people in a disaster area, maneuvering the copter close to a (mock) hazardous waste container, and searching for a lost hiker.
