Special Night For Special Kids Food & Cheer Tasting Benefitting Our SK
Since 1999, the Hamilton Area YMCA has provided recreational and social opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Through our SKOR program, participants build self-confidence and social skills, form lifelong friendships, and strive to achieve their highest potential. In addition to celebrating the achievements of our SKOR participants and sampling great food and cheer from local establishments, we will also recognize Gregg Gates as the Maurice T. Perilli Friend of SKOR. Tickets are $65.00 per person before September 21. Tickets are $75.00 per person after September 21. Teen Yoga Camp - Bryan, TX
Meeting Monday-Friday, 1-5p, the student will get TWO yoga classes each day, Vinyasa and Restorative. We will also have time to create different elements/crafts that will help the student continue this practice after the camp is finished. We will make journals, mala beads, eye pillows, and they will learn to blend tea and make their own blend to take home. The price also includes 3 additional weeks of unlimited yoga. Our desire with this program is to offer an avenue for the youth in our community to learn how to quiet their mind and to build self-awareness. Studies have shown learning these basic human fundamentals help increase tests scores, better decision making, improved communication skills.

Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting! Well, all of the cats and dogs are in this action-packed slapstick comedy. Join the Chapel School Explorer Program Dramateers as we explore theatre and prepare this One Act Play "Kung Fu Kitty." It is a story about standing up for what you believe in and overcoming adversity. This is sure to be a week filled with laughter, learning, and more laughter! Campers will learn the basics of theatre and present a play at the end of the week. Food Cart Freewheelers will again bring campers around the city with one great ambition: to find the best lunch, while exploring the foodie side of Portland through its many food cart offerings. Campers ride to a different food cart pod everyday and learn to budget and plan their spending. Campers can look forward to broadening their understanding of cycling and cuisine, and experiencing the empowerment of earning a hot lunch with a week of riding.
