Yes, boys will boys and that's why this camp experience was tailor made for our two pre-teens. It seems like they never run out of energy and this was the perfect environment to keep them busy. I also very much liked the ability to check in and see how they were progressing. Retreat 2016: Endurance - Proclaiming the Everlasting Kingdom - Naches
Each year the WGBC youth and guests spend 3 days in fellowship and under intensive instruction in the Word. The program includes worship services, bonfire fellowship, games, and various activities. This is a unique opportunity to establish new friendships, renew the old, and serve each other. But the most important aspect of this retreat is the time during the services when young people will be united in worship. Another great blessing of this time is the opportunity to interact with our pastors who will be there with us the whole time. This year's theme: The book of Daniel was written to encourage the Jews in exile by revealing God’s program for them. They are reminded that God is sovereign over the affairs of all rulers and nations. A key aspect within the overarching theme of God’s kingly control is Messiah’s coming to rule the world in glory over all men (2:35, 45; 7:13, 14,27). All of the kingdoms of this world will come to an end and will be replaced by the Lord’s kingdom, which will never pass away (2:44; 7:27). Though trials and difficulties will continue for the saints up until the end, those who are faithful will be raised...

Lacrosse - Middle & Lower School - Sports at The Heights School
Develop individual and team skills in a fun and positive environment. Become a better lacrosse player and let loose with Coach Mitchell and his fun-loving staff. Each player will be grouped by age and skill and partake in drills designed to teach every aspect of the game while emphasizing the fundamentals. Players will be placed on even teams and game and tournament play will be designed to spark competition and teach sportsmanship. In between lacrosse, players will enjoy other fun activities such as a pool trip, water slides, and individual competitions for prizes. Coach Mitchell will be joined by other Heights coaches, Heights alums, and visits from elite college and professional players. Drum! Percussion Camp for Absolute Beginners - MacPhail Center for Music - Minneapolis
Experience the fun of laying down a basic rock groove or the joy and energy of a large ensemble of mallet instruments. In this fantastic new camp, students will get a chance to try a variety of percussion instrument while building basic playing skills that will help prepare them to play in their school band or orchestra. Any student can join this camp, even if you have no previous experience playing an instrument. After 5 fun-filled days packed with lots of playing time on a variety of instruments, students will have a chance to show off their new skills for family and friends at a recital at the end of camp. Exploring Precious Metal Clay with Christopher Beaver - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Times vary: Friday 6-8pm, Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. This class will explore the very basics of metal clay with the incredibly humorous and tallented Christopher Beaver. No previous experience or skills necessary. Have you ever wanted to work with metal but have been scared off by the metal smithing process? Here is your chance to explore the world of precious metal clay – a fantastic clay material that is permeated with microscopic elements of pure metals. The clay is formed and placed in a kiln and – viola! – you pull out a pure piece of solid silver. Required for this this class is a great sense of humor, a willingness to learn, the ability to laugh at your own mistakes and letting your teacher drop the "f bomb" on occasion (it happens). IMPORTANT: This class will be held at a private home studio in Placerville, CO (not at the Ah Haa School). 970.728.3886
