LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Summer Rec Camp Week One - Full Time - North Hampton School
Our mission is to provide a safe, peaceful and harmonious environment where campers can spend time with their friends while creating new ones. Summer Rec Camp consists of six weekly programs that run Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 4:00 pm). The Full Time program has a field trip every Tuesday and Thursday. Lunch, snacks and drinks must be provided by the parents/guardians. Outdoor activities and field trips are subject to the weather. Rain dates have been planned for appropriate trips. A camp tee shirt will be provided and must be worn on all field trips as well as to the beach. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All fees must be paid prior to the first day of camp. Cancellation of any weeks must be done two full weeks in advance, in writing, in order to be considered for a refund. Please, do not send food that contains peanut butter. We can have campers who are severely allergic so this will need to be monitored. Campers must be signed in when dropped off at 8:00 am and signed out when picked up at 4:00 pm. This three-day camp focuses on introducing the game of volleyball to beginners, ages 5-11. It will give campers the opportunity to learn the sport in a fun atmosphere with our collegiate players. Jump Start Recreations staff host a spring camp for youth ages 5 - 12. Campers enjoy a week of sports, crafts, indoor and outdoor games, movies and other activities. Space is limited. Elem Super Scratch Week 3 - Merrill Engineering Building
We cannot get enough of Scratch and neither can our campers! This week-long 9AM-3PM day camp for entering 5th, 6th, and 7th graders (note the year older shift from the other Scratch camps) is a follow-on to the Beginning and Advanced Scratch camps. This camp looks at even more advanced topics and dives into more complex projects, finishing with a chance for participants to polish their projects under the guidance of our experienced instructors. Attendees should be enthusiastic about Scratch, self-motivated, and able to handle the longer day. Students should have completed the beginning and advanced camp prior to taking the Super Scratch camp or had some equivalent training. This camp runs from 9AM-3PM. Lunch is provided. 801-585-1726
3D Art Exploration - Villa Academy
Come join Molly Bocian to the messy world of 3D art! The students will be exploring paper mache and clay techniques over the course of the week. Ceramics techniques will be taught each day, and large paper mache sculptures will be crafted throughout the week, painted and ready to take home on the last day of camp. Smooth-Style Lindy with Charlie Wyler and Stacy Rathbun - Born 2 Dance Studio
This class is NOT TO BE MISSED by any dancer who is interested in improving their skill level. Concentrating on Smooth-Style Lindy (also referred to variously as Hollywood-Style, Dean Collins Style, and So-Cal Lindy), this class will improve your whips and swing-outs, help you develop floor-craft, work on styling, and emphasize lead-and-follow technique. Class will focus on drilling the Lindy Whip and the Push, concentrating on the concepts of weight sharing, counter balance, compression, syncopation, etc. First 30 minutes of class will be spent on working the basics with intense drilling; following 60 minutes will be spent exploring new challenges.
