PREMIER: 5 - 8 years Soccer Shot Premier is for children who wish to build upon what their current skills. Focusing on individual skill, fitness, and sportsmanship, each session provides an opportunity for kids to be challenged through fun games and team competitions. Children will also be introduced to tactical elements of the game as they prepare to play on competitive teams. Children should arrive dressed in comfortable clothing, shin guards and cleats. Please bring water, snacks, and sunscreen to camp. This is one of our greatest opportunities at White Pine. Participants recieve on-going mentorship in complex wilderness survival skills, tracking, and awareness. We are an aboriginal skills school. In this camp you will get introduced to Arduino. You will learn to build cool electronic projects using Arduino Micro controller board and make your projects interactive by writing simple programmatic logic using Arduino programming environment. Each student will get Arduino kit along with their project to take home on the last day of the camp. ** Arduino is the coolest and most popular DIY electronics kit today for kids, teens and even for adults. It is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on a very simple microcontroller board, and a simple development environment for writing software for the Arduino platform. Typing is an invaluable skill that takes time and practice to master. This class is for children with little or no experience. We will discuss the history of typing, why it is important, learn about proper ergonomics, and the home row keys. Students will be exposed to many different typing programs and games. Ready for a new challenge? Advance your throwing skills and create bigger and better pots on the pottery wheel. Learn in a small group environment where you will receive individual instructor attention and have access to your own pottery wheel throughout the week. Improve on the details of handles, feet, rims and design elements and explore different ways to glaze your pots before they are fired in the kiln.
