In this class students will be making both dip candles and mold candles, stirring the hot pot of melting material… just like magicians. Vocal Ensemble (SPRING) - Greenleaf Performing Arts Academy
Students will prepare a blend of contemporary, sacred, traditional, and popular songs as they gain experience with harmonization, sight-singing, and group performance! Strongly recommended for private voice students who would like to gain choral experience. Pre-requisite: 1 or more years of private voice lessons, co-enrollment in voice lessons, OR instructor approval by audition. Includes a spring showcase performance, exact date TBA. 3-year olds (who are toilet trained) to children entering Kindergarten may enroll for 5, 3 OR 2 half days of preschool. A small class size of 8 students to 1 early childhood certified teacher enhances learning. The groundwork for early language, math and science skills is formed utilizing multi-sensory, child-centered activities. A unique phonics-based teaching system brings the alphabet to life, as it lays the foundation for reading. Each session is 4 weeks long - 5 day option: Monday-Friday - 3 day option: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 2 day option: Tuesday, Thursday *Please consider sending your 4 or 5 year olds to our PreK kindergarten readiness Camps (see "2016 Summer Themed Camps" and look for PreK camps). These afternoon sessions are an opportunity for your 4 or 5 year old to prepare for a full day of school. We will try to speak to their imagination and teach them the importance of friends and family. We will use Role Play and other fun activities to entertain, educate and inspire them. The Etiquette section will include: Memory Work; a written invitation; making proper introductions; using proper telephone etiquette. We will learn to make an appointment, make purchases and just ask questions. We will set a proper table, drink hot tea from a teacup and eat hot soup with a spoon. Finally, we will help set up a proper Tea Table for our Graduation Tea. During this week of camp we will enjoy our dolls and even choose our own Doll of the Year.
