Heavy Metal Mania - LCMM Campus: Vergennes/Basin Harbor
Back by popular demand! An introduction to casting and copper-folding. Want to play with red hot metal and hit things really hard? This sampler gives a taste of the ancient arts of pounding iron, melting bronze and shaping sheet copper. Work with your hands, get dirty, make and take cool stuff. Well cool off with some swimming and games. * This program does not include using the blacksmithing forge due to safety considerations. Science Crafters - Old Trail School
Have you ever wondered how to make Flubber or how to make invisible ink? If so, this is the camp for you. The week will include fun and wacky crafts that make us smile. This includes making quick sand, a volcano, glow water and more. Many of the crafts will be things that can be taken home and played with. Week 1 AM - Geocaching In Your Kayak - NESS
Learn basic navigation to participate in the fun hobby of Kayak Geocaching! Geocaching is a real life treasure hunt using a device that has GPS. Use charts, compasses, navigation, and GPS to track your kayak path. Make an item to let other geocachers know weve discovered a particular treasure, participate in the first ever NESS geocache kayak trail and go geocaching in different locations around Stonington and beyond! No previous kayaking experience is necessary, but an interest in the ocean, snorkeling, and kayaking is a must for this adventure week. Includes: Geocaching & kayaking 860-535-9362

Young Builder (HALF DAY ONLY) - San Juan Del Rio Catholic School
This is the HALF DAY option for Young Builder. Campers ages 4-5 will want to join us to learn exciting construction techniques using LEGO® bricks. Little Builder allows campers to take their first steps into science and engineering. By using the themes of construction and travel, campers learn about machines, the tools used to work on machines, and their functions. Our material packs include a wide range of bricks and special elements in various shapes, sizes, and colors that are ideal for stimulating childrens creative and imaginative skills. Camp counselors will introduce tasks each day in building vehicles, planes, buildings, towns and transportation systems as we work in groups to build a LEGO city! Campers receive lots of suggestions for ideas but are encouraged to use their own creativity and imagination. Stories and games are also incorporated into this camp, perfect for our youngest little campers, ages 4 and 5. Our pre-k half day camps are 9am-1pm with pre camp options available as well! Intermediate Puppetry - NEW! - CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck
Learn the ins and outs of puppeteering with hand/rod and hand/arm puppets for the stage. For intermediate students wanting to hone their skills and maybe learn some new tricks! Practice different voices (singing and non), speech techniques, movement and how to make yourself invisible while still visible on the stage.
