Classroom: D-5 Instructor: Bricks 4 Kidz This class is all about the fun of doing something with what youve built. From a spinning top to a spin art model, from an optical illusion to a conveyor belt, kids will love playing with their LEGO® creations! But dont worry, we sneak in lots of learning too — like understanding probability in the 3-in-a-row game model and learning about friction and symmetry with the spinning top. Each lesson reinforces the S.T.E.M. curriculum and encourages students to think of what they could invent or improvements they could make to an existing object to solve a problem. Not all camps are co-ed. There are some single-gender camps available in addition to traditional co-ed programs.
Single-gender camps are great if parents want their children to focus on empowerment and independence. Many youth today are distracted by the other gender, and this is a chance to give kids a break so that they learn how to be friends with their peers. Many of these programs work with nearby groups so that the campers can get off camp and interact with a variety of people.

This is a Leadership Camp that will be held on the campus of Christian Brothers University. The students will reside on campus during this week and will partake in leadership exercises, classes, and community service projects each day. We have leaders from around the city that will be in attendance each day to meet each student and to ensure they are in the know about what is going on in the city. Let colors and shapes drive the art-making process while exploring a variety of media! Campers will get inspiration from Picasso and Jackson Pollock as they paint and draw their own creative masterpieces. All materials are provided for youth & teen classes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To receive member pricing, please purchase a membership by visiting [] activecommunities.com/indianapolisartcenter/Membership [] An information packet including a welcome letter and class syllabus will be emailed to parents one week prior to the first day of camp. Multiple Camp/Teen Intensive Discount: Sign-up in person or by phone for two camps and get 10% off the lower-priced camp! (Does not apply to Creative Aftercare.) Members of the Indianapolis Art Center will still receive a 15% discount on all camps. Pathfinding: Children learn basic map and compass skills to explore Kincaid Park. Activities include map making, orienteering, volcano explosions and geography of the park. General Camp Information: Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Registration Fee: $220 Includes: Five full days of camp, a field trip, activities, materials, daily snacks, and a camp T-shirt. Campers are required to bring a bag lunch each day. Where and When: Our Summer Camp will be held at our Orlando facility in our Education Center room. Campers will be able to enter through the Education Center door which is located to the left of the Business Office and Clinic entrances. Camp staff will be greeting campers between 8:30 and 9:00a.m. Please be prompt! On field trip days, we may be leaving as little as 15 minutes after camp begins. Campers must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian each day. Camp Activities: The Pet Alliance of Greater Orlandos Summer Camp is designed for kids who love animals. Campers will experience hands on activities with shelter pets, gain knowledge from educational speakers, and enjoy animal-related arts & crafts, enrichment projects, games, and much more. TECH IT OUT Robotics is a high tech interactive day camp where kids and teens learn how to construct, code and compete with a robot of their own design in small teams. While having fun, youth are engaged in teamwork, as well as computer science, problem solving using math, robot engineering design concepts and critical thinking.
