Coach Ben Rubeor will run the 2016 Loyola Lacrosse Camp. Ben was named the USA Today National Coach of the Year and the Maryland Private School Coach of the Year after winning the 2015 MIAA ‘A Conference Championship. Ben was a three-time All-American attackman, two-time Academic All-American, and two-time team captain at the University of Virginia, where he won an undefeated National Championship in 2006. He was also named the ACCs Top Male Scholar Athlete in 2008. He played 8 seasons of professional lacrosse, served as a team captain of the Chesapeake Bayhawks, and won 3 Major League Lacrosse titles. He will lead a staff of Loyola coaches and players to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse in a fun and competitive environment. The camp is designed for all levels of players. Campers will learn individual skills, including stickwork, footwork, dodging, shooting, and individual defense. Campers will practice these drills in an up-tempo environment. In addition, campers will learn team concepts and compete in a number of game-like situations, and they will have the opportunity to earn a number of prizes. This year's theme "Starry Eyed" will remind kids that the God who created everything there is- wants a personal relationship with them! Kids will become STARRY EYED as they see how over the moon in love with them God is. Each day is filled with Large Group time (worship and a lesson), small groups (where kids dig deeper) and fun activities (climbing an ice wall, sledding, or playing broomball). The problem is real and widespread: 1 in 4 college women reports being sexually assaulted and, since 2014, over 180 complaints against colleges have been filed in Federal Court for mishandling sexual assault complaints. Join us to learn about sexual assault on college campuses, find out why it's come to the forefront now, and what you need to know to assess campus safety (policy, culture, Title IX violations). We will also discuss affirmative consent and alcohol/drug use. Junior Buffs Camp *click for description - Colorado Volleyball Camp
The Junior Buffs Camp is designed for the beginning player looking to learn or improve his or her skills. Campers will be divided into groups by age and skill level while learning appropriate movements and volleyball skills in a fun atmosphere. Whether you are new to the sport or just want a refresher course on basic skill in a pressure free environment, this camp is for you! Every registration requires full payment. A $50 fee will be retained on all cancellations for any reason to cover credit card fees and administrative expenses. The remaining amount will be credited back to ones account if paid by credit card. If paid by check, the University will cut a check back to the original payee. For prompt processing, refund requests should be made prior to the start of camp. A pro-rated fee system will be in effect for those campers only attending partial days of camp. This program is designed to teach the basics of windsurfing including, proper stance, self-rescue, tacking and gybing as well as some basic sail theory. 3-year olds (who are toilet trained) to children entering Kindergarten may enroll for morning preschool, available 5, 3, OR 2 days a week. A small class size of 16 students to 1 early childhood certified teacher and 1 trained associate enhances learning. The groundwork for early language, math and science skills is formed utilizing multi-sensory, child-centered activities. A unique phonics-based teaching system brings the alphabet to life, as it lays the foundation for reading. Each session is 4 weeks long - 5 day option: Monday-Friday - 3 day option: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 2 day option: Tuesday, Thursday *Please consider sending your 4 or 5 year olds to our PreK kindergarten readiness Camps (see "2016 Summer Themed Camps" and look for PreK camps).
