Engineering - Build It! - Middle School
This course is being offered in conjunction with the Webb Institute in Glen Cove: a private engineering college that offers a dual major in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Students work individually or in teams to design and build a boat that serves a specific mission. Each team is given a list of materials and then must collaborate on the design and construction of their boat. Student volunteers from Webb will assist the teams in applying engineering and physics to enhance the design of their projects. The week culminates with a field trip to the Webb Institute, where students get to test their construction skills under various conditions, tour their amazing facility, and visit the Robinson Model Basin to put their designs to the test by completing numerous challenges. Pampered Pets - Lower School
Calling all kids who love pets! This camp combines many different mediums of art as campers learn canvas painting by completing a portrait of their pet. They also learn the art of mosaics while creating a picture frame for a lovable animal. Campers also earn about pottery painting and glazing techniques as they personalize a bowl for their pet. Introduction to Recording - Old Trail School
Campers will learn recording techniques and how to use microphones and other recording gear and will actually record a live band and do a mix session at DeMarcos School of Musics recording studio. Kidz Love Soccer - All Day Camp - Sport Complex - Cubberley (SCC)
Kidz Love Soccer All Day Camp Spend a week enjoying the worlds most popular sport in a fun, recreational environment. Learn and practice soccer skills including: dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting and defense. Everyone is a winner as the weeks fun culminates in an age-appropriate World Cup tournament. All-day campers will stay for lunch and more fun in the afternoon. After lunch they will enjoy more soccer, soccer movies, and tabletop soccer games. Each day will reinforce the skills we learned by ending the day with a full soccer match. All campers will receive a soccer ball and jersey. All-day campers should bring a full water bottle (1.5 liter minimum), a healthy snack and a bag lunch. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR SHIN GUARDS. SOCCER SHOES AND SUNSCREEN ARE RECOMMENDED. High School Team Camp - Yum Center
High school team camp is designed to prepare teams before entering the high school season. Each team will compete in skill training & scrimmages throughout the camp. Camp is open to every high school team and player. Registration will begin at 10:00am on July 10th at Threkheld Hall. The first session will begin at 1:00p on July 11th. The last day (July 13th) of camp will end at 12:00p. HIGH SCHOOL FEE-$250 U of L provides a head coach to train your team for the duration of camp. This fee allows one high school coach to accompany the team with meals & lodging included. The school fee is non-refundable & due by May 15th to secure a spot for your team. This fee is separate & does not go towards the camper fees.
