Too Much Fun For One Summer
I was worried about what to do with the kids this summer because of my new job. Thanks to Camp Radians I didn't have to worry. They had so much fun every week. Between the swimming (which they can't get enough of) and the museum field trips I feel like they had extended recess. I also like the focus on culture through crafts and food. Week 1: Lego Adventure - The Childrens Tree Montessori School
This classic summer program involves students using their imaginations to just having fun with Lego elements! During Lego Mania we build cool animals, interesting machines and unique buildings. At the end we will have created a Lego community. The White Sox Hitting Club will cover plate coverage and stance, stepping into a hitting position, hand path and the lower body mechanics. There are hitting absolutes that must be present in each at bat to be successful. These absolutes make all the difference. Summer Stretch Yoga Camp: Beach Theme - Marine Park Building
Weekly Theme: Beach Balance like a palm tree, roar like a lion, and stretch like a giraffe in this fun-filled yoga camp! Camp begins with a 40 minute class where students learn new poses and breathing techniques each day on an imaginary yoga adventure. Class ends by relaxing with peaceful music. After class, the excitement continues with yoga stories and games, a break for lunch, and a creative take-home art activity. Art projects are yoga themed and will relate to the poses learned that day. Fun activities throughout the week include parachute games, treasure hunts, outdoor craft time, face painting, and more! Yoga has been shown to improve focus, confidence, and coordination in children. Please bring a snack, lunch, and water.
