Grades 3-5 This is the camp to take your child?s lacrosse game to the next level with a focus on technique and agility. Our coaches help elevate their game through drills, conditioning and scrimmages. Campers work on ball handling, fast break and transition skills and participate in daily contests and games. Come and enjoy small-sided games and more individual and team competitions. Please bring lacrosse stick, mouthguard, helmet/goggles, protective gloves, water, lunch and a snack. Elbow pads recommended. Coaches: One on One Sports Training staff. Forensic science draws from foundations in biology, chemistry and physics. Campers will learn how to solve crimes by recognizing, collecting, and analyzing physical evidence commonly found at crime scenes. From fingerprinting to blood-typing, campers will learn practical skills and achieve a greater understanding of the role physical evidence plays in court proceedings. 2016 Speed of Play : Leadership through Fitness NSC - Blaine - National Sports Center
(2016 AKA SOP SCHEDULE BELOW) AKASPORTs Speed of Play: Leadership through Fitness Program, is led by AKA Director, Chris Schulz and the AKA professional training Staff. Participants enrolled in the AKA Speed of Play (SOP program), in partnership with the AKA All Sports Camp (ages 6-12), will offer adolescents an opportunity to be active, train and play in an All Sports setting geared to teach them leadership qualities with personal mentorship opportunities. The base of the Speed of Play program is from 9:00am-4:00pm and the doors are open for all Speed of Play participants from 7:00am-6:00pm, the same hours of the AKA All Sports Camp so you can take advantage of supervised activity time the entire day. Cooking Around the World Camp Take a food tour around the world with Footsteps Chef, Christian, and our Footsteps@Shores Site Director! Each day the children travel to a new area to prepare international foods from diverse cultural traditions, learn about healthy food habits, and enjoy being in the kitchen! Girl Scout Sunday: Toy Hack - The Mini Maker
Patch Included During our Toy Hack sessions your kids are given a selection of old toys, such as, a GI Joe, Barbie Doll, Legos, Dinosaur figures, ect. Your kids use basic tools like a screw driver to "hack" the toys apart. Then with the use of tape, pipe cleaners, or glue gun the kids are able to reuse and recycle the pieces and create a new toy with them. For example: A Barbie Doll body with a T-Rex Head and Zombie Foot. During this session the kids are also asked to use their imaginations to create a story around the figure they have created.
