LPBA is pleased to announce that we have added a second baseball field to our summer camp program at OZ Park. The additional field at OZ Park will allow us to divide the kids by age and skill level. We will use Field #1 for boys and girls ages 5-7 and Field #2 for boys and girls ages 8-12. The camp experience includes a daily exercise and agility training routine followed by instructive drills including base running, pitching, defense, bunting, outfield play, infield play, batting practice and other hitting drills. LPBAs summer camp programs run from June 9 though August 29, 2014: Half day sessions from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - $175 per week Full day sessions from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - $250 per week Fridays are rain make up days Camp registration is on a weekly basis. Four week full day special price of $900. Eight week full day special price of $1800. 312-246-1616

How to Debrief with a Child?
Parents should give youth some space before they try and debrief with their children. A camper may need some time to transition back to home life and a different schedule. Going from an active schedule to home life can be jarring and emotional. It is wise to take a child out to eat the first night they are back and try something active like heading out for mini-golf or to a movie. Quality time helps parents reconnect with their children.

Leaders will have the opportunity to "connect" with other youth leaders in ministry, and to share ideas and resources! Bring printed material on events you would like to promote to share with the group. You will hear about some great opportunities for ministry through this camp for special needs students. This will also be our "elections" business session at 11:15 prior to lunch. All voting members are encouraged to be present. Also, those who want may join the Coordinator to be praying for our campuses, students, and leaders about 30 min. prior to the start. Coach Coopers Skate Camps USA will provide a great beginning for the new skater and the needed guidance for the more experienced. The philosophy is to have each child become a confident skate board rider. Each class and camp, riders will learn the all around aspect to riding a board prior to camp. This will start on September 29th and conclude on November 3rd. Each club will meet 5 times during this period. Clubs are available to students in grades 2 through 6. Please review the club descriptions to see what options are available for your child. Registration is only available online, please do not send anything via mail or email. Clubs will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and fill up quickly! Once a session is filled it will no longer be available on the web site. Enrollment will be open September 19th @ 7pm and conclude at midnight September 23th. All clubs are $35. All payments are due upon registration. You will receive confirmation of enrollment via email. All club notifications will be sent via email. If a club is cancelled for any reason (i.e. inclement weather) there will be no make-ups.
