Whos ready to have a fiesta? Throughout the week well practice our Spanish while taking trips to the Latino markets in Durham, the Panaderia (bakery), and the Paleteria (ice cream shop). La Cocina Loca campers will shop for lunch ingredients to make their lunches on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and hop on the Duke School bus to travel off campus for lunch on Tuesday and Thursday. Please note that lunch is provided for the whole week, but your camper still needs to bring a morning and afternoon snack. Director: Carla Horta 9194932642.0

Manga Illustration Camp - Halle Cultural Arts Center
Ages 9-17. Whether you are already drawing manga or want to learn to do it, this is the camp for you. Sharpen your skills using the same materials real mangakas use, g-pens and ink, art markers, tone screens and make comic book pages. Spend the week with like minded otakus; have a great time and make new friends. *$20 materials & supplies fee due to instructor on the first day. No experience necessary. This mini camp will focus on what it means to be a Presbyterian in todays world. Campers learn about how we understand our faith through an explanation of the Cross and Flame Logo. Included in the week will be all the traditional camp favorite activities like campfires, swimming, 9 - square, crafts, hiking and more. Join in for afternoons of fun and games! Campers will take three off-campus trips a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Trips are mostly in Calvert County and include afternoons at the pool, water park, museum, bowling alley, rock wall climbing, ice skating, and more! On-campus fun will include team sports, water games, arts and crafts, etc. Lots of fun activities are planned to make those hot summer days enjoyable!
