It is estimated that 60% of the terminology college students will face come from words formed from ancient Greek and Latin affixes and root words. Knowing how to break down a word which has been formed from Greek or Latin can help a student not only build a working vocabulary, but also help a student construct a basic meaning for a new or unfamiliar word. Students who learn this skill see their vocabularies grow and their anxiety lessen. As students who enter college are faced with not only increased amounts of reading, but also increased difficulty in those readings, having the skill to navigate these readings, assignments, and exams makes academic success much more easily attainable. In the last session, details will be added with a wide range of craft materials. The will learn how to create impressive sculptures that can be adapted for a range of school projects.
