Wildheart Sacred Artists know their nature both within and without. Newborns arrive into this world with a purity and clarity so intense that it is near impossible not to fall into some divine joy when looking into their eyes. As they grow older, this clarity begins to fade as they develop a healthy sense of who they are and begin to define the world they are perceiving. At Wildheart, there is nothing more important to us than returning the power and clarity to childrens eyes. Nature is the perfect setting for inviting kids to return to their inner truths. In this centering and empowering week of camp we will be exploring mindfulness, meditation, dance, sacred art, earth skills, music, compassion, and Earth-based ceremonies. Children will come away with practice choosing kindness over anger, peace over anxiety, and love over fear. They will also come away with a unique altar cloth dyed using local plants and leaf prints. Second year students also receive a surprise item for their altar that represents a positive quality they have offered to the camp. Amidst the deep work we will be doing, we will also find plenty of space for nature games and free time... 503-680-9831

Celebrate summer fun with MacPhail Center for Music! Preschoolers will experience movement and instrument exploration through musical concepts such as steady beat, accents and crescendos all in a festive, explosive theme. The week will culminate with our own parade as we march and move to the beat of our homemade instruments. Parents are welcome to participate in this exciting camp experience. Choose from two different sessions. *If you have older children aged 5-7 years, they can participate in Around the World in Five Days Camp at the same time- June 20-24. Is your child struggling to learn how to print? Are they reluctant to complete written work? Whether your child is struggling or not, learning to print is a very complex skill. This class will provide all of the foundational skills necessary to be able to learn to print effectively and efficiently all while having FUN! Kristen Freed, Licensed Occupational Therapist will assess your students use of a writing tool and then provide a multitude of activities to improve their grasp, general stability, tactile discrimination, visual-motor coordination, and visual-perception skills for more successful writing tool use. 316-771-2289

09th 2016 Camp Buckaroo FALL BREAK 3 Day Camp - Blue Point Stables
This Camp is a 3 (Three) Day Buckaroo Fall Break Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and to care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts and Horse Husbandry including some Horse Health and Welfare. Plus, making friends or renewing relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin. Campers falling below the testing standards are allowed to retest once for no additional charge. Day campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing on cool or cold days and rain gear when needed, as well as, their lunches, snacks and drinks for each day.
