Using LEGO® bricks, campers will design and build structures and space vehicles for living on far away planets. Campers will utilize a variety of LEGO® bricks including motors, gears, lights, and sensors. Space Engineer includes instruction on the Earth, Moon, stars, and planets as well as the scientific topics of force, friction, simple machines, and gravity. Campers will also join the crew aboard the International Space Station (ISS) to learn about propulsion, friction and more. Counselors will assign specific projects each day that include: a rotating satellite, space buggy, a stunning spaceship, terrestrial homes that can withstand alien atmospheres and a host of other exciting projects. Campers will work in teams to complete their missions. Our camps are 9am-4pm with pre and post camp options available as well! Please pack a peanut-free snack, bag lunch and refreshment for your child. Each camper receives one free camp t-shirt with each week of registration - order as many extras as you want at checkout! Our kid's summer sew camp includes three fun-filled days of crafting and project making while learning a valuable skill! Sew camp is ideal for children ages 7 and up who haven’t sewn before or are still beginning, or those who want to learn more. Each day will bring a new project! PreK & Kindergarten Program - Election Day at TPS - The Philadelphia School
Join us in a fun and educationally stimulating day learning about elections. Students will design colorful handmade campaign buttons, set up voting stations, play fun election games, and experience creative hands on art activities. Students will prepare a tasty mid-morning snack and participate in choice games, and indoor and outdoor activities. Weather permitting we will enjoy a walk to Taney park for recess. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). **Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $20. A late-afternoon snack and choice activities will be provided. Pick-up time is 3:00 p.m. for the regular program and 5:30 p.m. for the extended day. Beginning Fishing Camp - Black Hill Visitor Center
Enjoy a week of fishing fun and adventure while learning how, when, and where to catch freshwater fish. Well fish Little Seneca Lake first to get some experience, and then travel to waters outside of the park for new challenges. Park naturalists will provide expert, hands-on instruction on balanced tackle, live bait, artificial lure selection, knots, casting, and the latest fishing techniques. Well send out an itinerary and equipment list prior to camp. The camp fee includes all bait and a well-equipped tackle pack with a variety of lures and hooks perfect for the beginning angler. Campers will learn various aspects of being an HSWM volunteer. All graduates of Animal Academy will receive a one year membership to Junior Volunteer Club.
