This is a "family friendly" service opportunity; however, much of the work is not suitable for young children. Scout troops and YM/YW are strongly encouraged to attend. Unplugged Youth Retreat - East Troy, WI
Time to get away and unplug from the hectic pace of life. This retreat is for youth in 8th grade through 12th grade. Fee is $100. For the first 10 to sign up, receive a $25 discount making it just $75 for a fun faith filled weekend! Camp TImber-lee is a wonderful facility with 600 acres of outdoor space, a toboggan hill and much more. A special band and speaker will engage our time of preparation for Holy week and Easter. Back by popular demand - Circus Camp! Learn Circus Skills such as Trapeze, juggling, globe, diabolo, rolla bolla, and tumbling! All students will participate in a circus show for parents on the last day of camp. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For half-day camp, bring a snack each day. For full-day camp, bring a lunch each day. Campers need to wear closed toed shoes and clothes that they can move in (we go upside down). Play and perform favorite short form improv games, including those seen on TVs hit show Whose Line Is It Anyway?. Students gain confidence in public speaking, expressing themselves using their body and voice, and facing fears of stage fright and performance anxiety. Jump in, be big and bold, laugh, and learn the basics of acting through the wild, wonderful world of improvisation! No experience necessary; come one and come all. Class culminates in an original improv show for family and friends; written, created, hosted, and performed by the students. (No materials required aside from your imagination.)
