The Dance Academy Designed to serve the needs of the committed and focused student, 4 to 18 years old, who is seeking to expand their dance vocabulary and dramatically improve their technique. The Academy is calling you! With an emphasis on Classical Ballet and Modern Dance, the Academy students follow a schedule designed by the directors that will also include, depending on level, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop and African Dance. Voice, and Art classes are also offered in rotation. Multi-day training and a comprehensive vocabulary are necessary for any artist to achieve success in the dance world. Compare this with the world of Sports: Kobe, LeBron, Jordan, and all of the Gods of Basketball train every day. We have also seen remarkable results in academic achievement as a result of the character education dance training instills. Young people of NCA learn to manage their time. This Girl Scout Camp is nestled in nature’s paradise between meadows, woodlands and a beach area. My 11 year old daughter loves to participate in archery, swimming, kayaking, crafts, boating and hiking. She has developed a love for nature along with improved social skills. Teen Celtic Camp - Boulder Creek, CA
Ages 13-18, $640 early bird registration. Spend all day playing music in the redwoods, and have a great time singing, dancing, watching Song of the Sea in the meadow, sessioning and improv-ing every night! Before dinner in the late afternoon the pool is open as well as the volleyball court, ping pong table, basket ball and tether ball. Program includes all meals and boarding. Bring bedding, clothes (including swimsuit and jacket), towel, toiletries, bug repellant, sunscreen, your instrument, and music stand. Costumes may be useful, as well as other fun things for the pool and ceilidh as long as they are safe and legal. Theme: Celtic Luau? For players of fiddle, flute, pennywhistle, recorder, oboe, bassoon, harp, guitar, mandolin, banjo, dulcimer, accordion, percussion and cello. Boat demos will be available from Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company, and paddles will be available for demo from Werner Paddles. Friday: Evening: Arrive at Fowlersville put-in and set up camp. Drinks and food around a campfire Saturday: Morning first timers run. Creeking clinics will be available. Mini-Resident Camp brings the Resident Camp experience to campers new to overnight camp or with a busy schedule. Campers enjoy all that camp has to offer and stay in cabins with other mini-resident campers. 612-235-7284
"Meet Spot" Week 6 - Animal Training Adventure Center
This session is for young campers age 7 who love puppies and dogs, or young campers who need to overcome a fear of dogs. Campers will be introduced to basic responsibilities of pet ownership and the needs of a canine companion by working with rescue puppies and dogs. Campers will engage in play and structured games involving puppies and dogs that teach dog handling skills, dog safety, and promote having fun with a dog. This session will also include animal-themed family movies, animal-themed arts and craft projects, and homemade dog treats prepared by campers. Session fee includes a t-shirt and all activities and materials. You will need to pack your campers lunch daily. 850-294-1964

Campers will perform experiments to demonstrate weightlessness in space. They will explore variations between gravity on earth and gravity in space, examine the impacts of weightlessness on the human body, and investigate weather patterns on the moon. They will learn how astronauts prepare for the extreme temperatures in space.Campers will perform experiments to illustrate the blackhole, make a "ghost" appear in a bottle as part of a meteorology activity, explore what happens when air masses collide, and build and use several weather instruments. Week 1 Field Trip: Friday, July 1. The Da Vinci Center, PA Week 2 Field Trip: Friday, July 8. SC2016: Jiggly Wiggly Comb Jelly Week - Sanibel Flagship Campus
We always get asked if small clear comb jellies sting. The answer is no - instead of using stinging cells they use sticky cells and you cant get stuck unless you are a tiny planktonic animal. Lets explore these super-cool, glow in the dark, barely there jellies of the ocean. Lets have a floating race using only our fingers fluttering like cilia. Lets get sticky and capture our own food. Lets collect plankton (the comb jellys favorite food) with a plankton tow and look at it under a microscope. Lets go on a night beach walk and look for bioluminescence. (239) 472-8585
