No School Kid’s Cooking Camp—Pumpkin, Apples, Butternut Squash - Chica
Ages 8-13, Hands-On, 4 hour class $30 Our school doors aren’t closed today. We’d love to educate your child(ren) on their day off with a skill set that will be used for decades to come—cooking! All participants will be shopping, prepping, cooking, eating and cleaning. Most food is made from scratch and in season! Today’s menu will focus on the fall produce of pumpkin, apples, butternut squash and cranberries: pumpkin bread with maple butter, apple pockets, curried butternut squash soup with cranberry chutney and baked brie crostini. 1st Event of 2016: Oblivion - Columbus, IN
Something that has been toying with the New Sanctuary for a long time finally gets down to brass tacks. Big changes occur in the world, new horrors appear, bad stuff happens to good people, and the smart folks will bring their own in-game light sources. This is a full weekend long immersive LARP experience. The price is $60 for players who will need to bring sleeping bags, toiletries, extra socks, costumes, weapons, spell packets, and extra badass to withstand a weekend of imagination and adventure. Meals in the tavern are an additional cost, but hearty and well worth it. NPCs pay $15, and don't need to bring costuming. Their admission fee covers their meals as well. NPCs need to bring dark clothes they can move in, sturdy shoes, extra socks, sleeping bag, and toiletries. We ask that people try to get to the site by 8 so that they can have time to get into costume and go through registration before lay on at 10. We will be able to arrive on site as early as 3 PM. Our Kids's art camp is back...and during Summer Break! We provide all the supplies, your child's inspiration and step-by-step instruction of the featured art. At the end of the event, kids will go home with their very own superhero masterpiece of choice. Our event will be hosted by Beth Cline and $20 includes supplies and Instruction. This is our History 2 week. This week we will be moving around the Bay Area taking daily field trips while using public transportation to navigate our way. The week will be comprised of the schedule below*. Day 1: Fort Point/City Hall Day 2: Wells Fargo Museum/Cable Car Museum Day 3: SF Dungeon/Wax museum and Boudin Bread Factory Tour Day 4: Angel Island/US Immigration Station/China Town back alley tour Day 5: USS Pampanito/ SS Jeremiah OBrien (Days may not be in the specific order above) We meet at Rockridge BART station every morning at 8 AM then travel the city to our destination or destinations.
