Kids Pursuit is ready to bring MEGA Sports Camp to the community of Minot. Children entering K-5th Grade will get to spend each evening making friends, learning sports skills, and having FUN! Clarendon Spring 2016 - Clarendon Elementary
SPRING 2016: SURVIVOR FROG! Have you ever wondered how to make fire without matches, purify water, and build your own shelter? Or what you would do if you were stranded on a desert island? If so, then join Survivor Frog! We will learn to recognize and prepare edible plants, track and stalk wild animals, and make rope and baskets out of plants that grow in your neighborhood park. Our amazing Animal Ambassadors will be our guides as we gain survival skills, learn to work as a team, and explore the natural world all around us! There are no breaks during this session. Jr. Robotics Engineer - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Entry-level robotics and programming. Campers learn robotics using LEGO® Education WeDo™. Our young creators build snapping alligators, race cars, talking birds, and spinning robots, attach sensors and motors, and then program their creations with the WeDo visual drag-and-drop programming software. Counselors guide and encourage exploration and trial and error field-testing. Instead of simply "snapping bricks together," campers are encouraged to think critically about how their robot design can be changed and to understand more complicated engineering techniques such as gear use, pulleys, and inclined planes. Have you ever wished you knew how to sew? Learn sewing machine basics and how to embroider decorative stitches in this fun half-day camp. We will emphasize process as well as product so that students become confident stitchers. Students will work in small project groups to create interesting and functional items that reflect their personality. Everyone will sew and embroider their own pillow, a fabric-covered notebook, a tote bag, earbud caddies, and more. Students will also take home an embroidery sewing kit and project patterns. Themes: A Bugs Life, Around the World, Storyland, and Odyssey Under the Sea.. Each theme is presented in music/drama and art. Wear comfortable camp clothes and tennis shoes.
