Lacrosse: the fastest growing team sport in America. This camp is designed for girls and boys. Non-contact lacrosse, also know as "Soft Lacrosse" is played. Individual skills are taught: catching, throwing, scooping and cradling. Campers will be divided by age and skill level. Sports Unlimited provides all the equipment. and focuses on fun, skill development, team play, safety and sportsmanship. Campers should bring sunscreen, water and a snack. Rain make ups will take place on Fridays. S.P.A.R.K Summer Camp and Memphis Black Arts Alliance pull out all of the stops with the amazing tale of Patriarch Jacob who lived happily with his dozen sons, but whose favoritism for bright Joseph, symbolized by the gift of a spectacular multi-colored coat, makes his brothers so jealous they end up selling him as a slave and staging his death. Joseph rises in the service of wealthy Potifar, whose adulterous wife falsely accuses him, and he is incarcerated. His gift of dream-telling however wins him Pharoah's favor. This will be the Teens at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church first Retreat. We are excited for what God has in store for this generation.The Theme for the Retreat this year is Joy! The REACH program works to teach children science, technology, engineering and math in fun and innovative ways. It helps kids learn STEM subjects while engaging in fun land and water based activities. Our programs also follow the philosophy of safety, fun and learning in that order.
