Let Your Imagination Soar! Spring Science Camp is a fun-packed, one week day camp led by top notch, enthusiastic Recreation Leaders where kids get to have ?Aha!? moments of creativity and discovery while building and playing with unique toys, astonishing gadgets, and fantastic gizmos -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please bring any recycled item for various planned science projects on the first day of Camp. Items can include - soda can, soda / water bottles, newspaper, milk cartons, etc. Field Trip - Griffith Observatory - Wednesday 3/30 Campers must bring a sack lunch daily, and are required to wear a camp t-shirt daily. These combination cooking, baking, and art camps provide perfect activities to build a child’s confidence and expression, as well as learning life-long personal skills. Hey Friends all work and these Adult camps posts has me wanting to go to camp. PROBLEM: No adult camp in SF area (aside from a digital detox hippy thing) SOLUTION: Organize One. If we get enough interest will make it happen, will decide in 1 week. Need like 200+ Yes's and I will get the wheels in motion. CONCEPT: Adult Summer Camp All the fun + the booze Think meeting new people, activities like swimming,canoeing, rock wall, sports, slip n slide flip cup, arts crafts, cooking class, and etc. Broken into teams, olympics style, dancing under stars all night, talent show, etc. Was inspired by Camp No Counselors check it out to get an idea - https://vimeo.com/99644036 It'd be $299 - 349 estimated PP for transport, accommodation, catered food, activities + TShirt ;) + OPEN BAR all 3 Days. Tap for Beginners (Youth) - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This course is designed as an introductory course for children who are interested in trying tap for the first time or would like to work on their technique and tap vocabulary. In this class the students will learn the basics of the American Musical Theatre tap dance style, as well as choreography to at least one song. Students will learn basic tap terminology along with tap performing techniques which will provide the student with a well-rounded knowledge of tap dance. This class is designed for 2nd-8th grade students. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE graduated from Christopher Newport University with a Bachelors degree in Theater, focusing on Musical Theater Performance, Directing, Dance/Choreography, and Lighting. He has been very active for the past 10 years in the Alexandria theater community, working with theaters such as; MVCCT, PCP, ACCT, and LTA. He has directed, choreographed, and fight choreographed children and adults alike.
