LATEST CAMPS NEWS: 04 Summer Fun Camp 3 Ages 5-12 - Middle School
Camp will meet from Noon-5:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; and at 7:00-5:30pm on Friday. Activities will include: arts and crafts, passive games,educational games, group activity games, sports, strength and conditioning, rhythms, and free play. There will be swimming from 4:00-5:00pm in the Middle School pool. Activities will be geared for children 5-12 years of age. Bring a snack, swim suit and towel. Campers should report to the HS cafeteria and enter door #29 on days that camp starts at Noon. Campers will be escorted to the MS Gym after lunch by camp counselors. When camp begins at 7:00 am campers should report to the Middle School Gym and enter through door #36 In order to register for this activity, you must first click to open the participation waiver and then place your initials in the left box to confirm that you read and agree. You must also read the Parent/ Athlete concussion agreement in the text and check the box underneath to provide confirmation that you have read, understand and agree to the new concussion information. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parent/Guardian must initial for anyone under 18 years old. Winter in the Wild: Furs & Feathers (Youth Groups Only) - Hull, IL
Exclusive for Non-Profit Youth Groups! Registration limited to first 30 youth Become a GC wildlife detective while on school vacation! Come to Gardner Camp for hands-on learning about wildlife and animals of all kinds. Nationally renowned World Bird Sanctuary will be at GC to present a live animal program where you will experience an up-close view of animals from all kingdoms. After learning about the different types of animals and the signs that animals leave behind, participants will test their investigation skills solving a mystery and go on a tracking adventure, weather permitting. Participants will also walk away with their very own handmade wildlife tracks t-shirt. Within this program, there is also a giveback opportunity to help World Bird Sanctuary. Ranger Kid Day Camp - Christmas, FL
Greetings Leaders, at our last Sectional Leaders meeting we decided to make up the Hurricane Matthew postponed RK Day Camp. We originally decided on January 21, 2017 but that date proved problematic so a consensus with a majority of Outpost Coordinators we have moved the date to February 18, 2017. The date was confirmed with Jungle Adventures today and the price of $12 per boy and adult will hold. The Boy price includes admission, event patch and craft, the adult price is for admission only. If an adult wants the patch it is $2.00 more. Everybody attending needs to have a sack lunch and drink which will be stored in coolers until the lunch break. The times are from 9:30am (registration), with entry to the park at 10am, we plan to conclude by 2pm. Questions should be directed to your Outpost Coordinator or if necessary you can contact Steve Bridges.

Future Robot Creator - United Faith Christian Academy
Entry-level robotics and programming. Campers get a head start on simple robotics using LEGO® Education WeDo™ components and easy to use software. Our young creators will build models, attach sensors and motors, and configure behaviors using a simple programming tool. Counselors guide and encourage exploration and trial and error field-testing. Instead of simply snapping bricks together, campers are encouraged to think critically about how their robot design can be changed and to understand more complicated engineering techniques such as gear use, pulleys, and inclined planes. Robot models include a variety of animals, soccer players, amazing mechanisms, and adventure stories. When ready, campers move to advanced building and programming projects that include: a Racecar, Ferris wheel, and Carousel. As the week draws to a close, campers can utilize the skills they have learned to build an X-wing fighter or Marine helicopter.
