Dates: October 16 – 18, 2015 Ages: 13 – 19 Co-Directors: Steve Lamason and Dan & Nicole Miguel Speaker: Zach Justice (from Upton Lake Christian School) Come for a weekend of growing closer to Jesus Christ, playing fun games & spending time with other teens. Bring clothes for cold weather & muddy conditions. Cost: $85 The cost is reduced to $70 if you send your registration and pay in full by October 9. CIRRUS MINOR Battling for a slot on SUMMER CAMP 2016! - Des Moines, IA
$5 gets you admission and one vote at this special ALL AGES event, where 4 regional bands (including CIRRUS MINOR) will compete to win a slot on the SUMMER CAMP MUSIC FESTIVAL in Chilicothe, Illinois on Memorial Day Weekend; this would have us playing alongside Mudcrutch (with Tom Petty), Umphrey's McGee, Fishbone, STS9, moe., George Clinton and P-Funk.... and so many more! We need your vote! Also, we need people to help spread the word- we haven't played since October, plus, Joe Corbin (our drummer) will NOT be playing this show with us- he and his wife are expecting a new baby within a couple days of the show- so you will see a Cirrus Minor show unlike any you have seen before... gonna get creative! So, join us at the show (and be sure to vote while you are there)... And if you can share this event, invite friends, or help pass around a few fliers, we will be eternally grateful! Steel Pan Camp - MacPhail Center for Music - Minneapolis
Whether youve just started learning an instrument or have been playing for years, playing steel pan is fun for everyone! We invite all instrumentalists to come learn to play pan - from percussionists to tuba players, violinists to bassoonists! If youre looking for a new, fun way to play music, youll love learning about this Caribbean instrument from Trinidad and Tobago. Youll have a chance to try out all of the instruments - from the high lead pan all the way down to the deep, low tones of the bass pans. Youll work with your instructor to learn basics of playing steel pan and play in several ensembles with everyone at the camp. Yo-Ho-Ho, discover the science behind a Pirates life. Use compasses and charts to find hidden treasures, perform experiments to see how pirate boats float, take part in a Davy Jones Locker density experiment, and go into the harbor on a pirate boat journey. Become a pirate captain of your own vessel by getting a taste of sailing safely in an Opti and paddling a kayak! Includes: 1 boat trip on the Dodsons Launch 860-535-9362

PFAC is proud to offer classes for homeschoolers. These classes are for students ages 5-12 and are taught by Valerie Whiteman. Parents and younger siblings are welcome to explore our Hands On For Kids Area. May 10, 10-11:30 Shapes: Students will explore properties of organic vs. geometric shapes and will create a Calder-style clay mobile and a Jacob Lawrence-style multi-media collage. 757-596-8175
