Making it move is the name of the game at this exciting camp! Kids will love to see their creations in motion using LEGO® wireless remote controls. Each day, campers will use fascinating and challenging LEGO® components to create dynamic vehicles, inventions, machines and more. As they enjoy the fun of building, campers will understand the basic working principles of many ingenious devices that are part of our everyday lives. Campers will also learn how to magnify, diminish and redirect force to move objects at different speeds and in different directions. This camp is loads of fun and learning for budding builders. We are so excited to be launching our brand new youth program with 2 exciting new offerings, Elemental Circus Camp and Sunday open level youth classes. Sign up for one or both weeks of Elemental Circus Camp this summer. Youth of ages 6-16 will undergo a circus adventure including age and skill appropriate lessons in performance, aerial arts, tumbling, balance and coordination, juggling, dance and magic. Youth will be grouped by age, and do not need to have any previous circus experience. With the exception of students advanced in aerial, gymnastics, or dance training, who will have the opportunity to submit an audition video to be grouped in an advanced mixed age group covering material more appropriate to their level. Come celebrate The Summer Camp with us! Open bar, free food, camp things and The Wooly DJ! TSC sends over 350 underprivileged girls (ages 6-18) from low-income and foster families to camp in Maine each summer. Unlike similar organizations, TSC brings campers back year after year. So the programming— and the community— grow with the campers. TSC also provides a literacy program to make sure that campers are reading at grade level as well as a mentorship program for “graduates." Session 4 Half Day Seedlings - Hampshire College Farm Center
Seedlings is a 1-week summer camp for 3 and 4 year olds at the Hampshire College Farm Center. A small group of 8 children and an experienced teacher and assistant will gather each weekday for a hands-on exploration of farm and garden life. With the cozy farmhouse sun room as home base, the Seedlings will venture out to the barnyard, the childrens garden, and the larger farm fields and woods for a balance of work and play that meets individual needs. Lino Lakes Public Safety Department, Centennial Lakes Police Department, Centennial Fire District, Lexington Fire Department, and Lino Lakes Parks and Recreation Department present the Annual Safety Camp! Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of serious injury and/or death of children. This camp is taught by those who respond to those types of incidents each day in an effort to reduce the numbers of injuries that occur each year. The camp includes sessions on bike safety, fire safety, 911 procedure, water safety, personal safety, electrical safety, outdoor safety and first aid - all in an informative and fun atmosphere. The knowledge campers learn will allow them to make the right decisions when faced with unsafe conditions. Safety Camp is intended for children entering 4th grade the fall of 2016. Pre-registration is required and limited to the first 150 participants Priority will be given to residents residing in Lino Lakes, Circle Pines, Lexington, and Centerville until June 17.
