Campers will participate in: High Ropes Swimming Hiking Archery Crafts Teambuilding Leadership Activities Giants Ladder Slack Line Zip Line Climbing Wall Pamper Pole Offsite Rappelling/Climbing Day Trip 3 Night Backpacking Experience* Weekly Schedule: Monday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm *Tuesday 9:00 am through Friday at 12:00 noon Parent Program: Thursday 7:00 - 9:00 pm Catered lunch provided daily. All meals provided during overnight experience. Adventure Academy summer camp is open to children ages 7-14. We strive to ensure that each child leaves camp with long-lasting memories of adventure, discovery and friendship. We provide a safe environment in which to have new experiences, gain an appreciation for the outdoors and develop leadership skills and abilities. Our 10:1 camper to counselor ratio ensures a quality experience for each child. Adventure Academy takes place on Camp Mary Ortons 167 wooded acres, bordered by the Olentangy River. In addition to miles of trails, we have a swimming pool, archery range and an experiential education/adventure course. Camp Mary Orton, winner of the Association for Experiential Education international Award, has been home to summer youth programming for over 100 years. Final Kid's Camp Meeting - McKinney, TX
This is a mandatory final camp meeting for all parents of kids who will be attending Kid's Camp this year. We will meet directly following 2nd service in the Gen Kids Room. The remaining camp balance and concessions money is due at the conclusion of this meeting. Additionally, the Camp Waiver form will be provided at this meeting. We have schedule a second computer coding camp for July 18 @ 1:00 for grades 6-12. Part 2 is a two-hour camp that introduces teens to robotics engineering with a line patterning RedBot. Teens will add to coding skills learned in Part 1 to instruct RedBot to follow simple to complex line patterns. 4-H Teen Voices Retreat - New Windsor, IL
Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to join Rock Island County 4-H for an interactive leadership retreat on Saturday, August 29 at Camp Summit in New Windsor. Teens will get to participate in team-building exercises, go zip-lining and other outdoor activities as well as give their input into ideas they would like to see for youth programs in the local community. Teens will learn ways they can use their interests and skills to develop their leadership, citizenship, presentation and organization skills by becoming in involved in the various 4-H Teen programs offered in Rock Island County.

Coding 1 Jr Scratch Visual Programming 8/22-8/26 - Recreation-D.P.S.
AccelerateKIDs Coding Jr. Camp introduces campers to the visual programming language M.I.T. Scratch. Campers will learn the basic principles behind computer programming. Over the course of the week students will program four games - Cat & Mouse, a maze game and more. Each programming lesson builds upon itself and reinforces the basic concepts learned in camp. Using their knowledge learned over the course, campers will choose one of their games to edit and present on the final day of camp. Each camper will leave camp with an AccelerateKID T-shirt. Curtain Up! Musical Theatre (3 weeks) - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
For rising 1st-8th grade students This amazing program is for all students interested in musical theatre. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about all aspects of a production and to discover and develop theatrical and musical talents. Prerequisite: Hartley Level 2 or equivalent learn to sail class Lets go Sailing....Grab a partner or sail solo in this exciting class designed to get kids on the water as quickly as possible. This class is the perfect opportunity for students who know how to sail, who want to get out there, to simply go sailing. Students are introduced to more advanced sailing techniques, basic navigation and will work on improving their overall comfort with sailing around Stonington Harbor and Fishers Island Sound.
