Explore innovative ways to incorporate common household materials, found objects, and recyclables into fantastic art! We will focus on the processes as well as the products of creating both two- and three-dimensional pieces of art. Part of everyday will be spent making puppets out of recycled materials and producing a short performance at the end of the week. This promises to be a very busy and creative week! Clark Youth Theatre Summer Camp Sign Ups - Tulsa, OK
Clark Youth Theatre will hold a series of summer Theatre Camps at the Henthorne Performing Arts Center. Enrollment begins Saturday, April 2nd at 8:30am. Each two-week camp includes classes on acting, dancing, and other performance skills. This is a great opportunity for children ages 8-14 who are interested in theatre and performing arts. Campers must have completed the second grade. The cost is $225 per session. The remaining dates for summer Theatre Camp are: Session 1: June 6-17 Session 2: June 20-July 1 Session 3: July 5-15 Session 4: July 18-29 Session 5: Aug 1-12 Classes are 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. The camp also offers early drop-off at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up until 5:30 p.m. for an additional $25 fee. Campers must bring a sack lunch each day. Little Stars - Musical Theatre - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
This camp is an introduction to musicals that allows campers to experience what its like to tell a story through music. We will tell stories through original songs based on common fairytales with each child getting an opportunity to have lines, sing, and dance. Campers will play fun theatre games that will help them get more comfortable in social situations through using their imagination and creativity. These young performers will get the unique experience of being able to perform on a stage. INSTRUCTOR MICHAEL PAGE has been teaching theater for 8 years and has been choreographing in local community theaters for the past 10 years. He recently received a BA in Theater and Dance from Christopher Newport University. He currently works as a Music and Movement Teacher at VHBC Preschool as well as teaches classes at LTA, Mount Vernon REC Center, and Browne Academy. He teaches private acting, dancing, and guitar lessons from his home. He is happy to have been given the position of Summer Camp Director this year and hopes to make a positive educational experience for all summer camp students. 7036835778 x2
