Campers will participate in: High Ropes Swimming Hiking Archery Crafts Teambuilding Leadership Activities Giants Ladder Slack Line Zip Line Climbing Wall Pamper Pole Offsite Rappelling/Climbing Day Trip 3 Night Backpacking Experience* Weekly Schedule: Monday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm *Tuesday 9:00 am through Friday at 12:00 noon Parent Program: Thursday 7:00 - 9:00 pm Catered lunch provided daily. All meals provided during overnight experience. Adventure Academy summer camp is open to children ages 7-14. We strive to ensure that each child leaves camp with long-lasting memories of adventure, discovery and friendship. We provide a safe environment in which to have new experiences, gain an appreciation for the outdoors and develop leadership skills and abilities. Our 10:1 camper to counselor ratio ensures a quality experience for each child. Adventure Academy takes place on Camp Mary Ortons 167 wooded acres, bordered by the Olentangy River. In addition to miles of trails, we have a swimming pool, archery range and an experiential education/adventure course. Camp Mary Orton, winner of the Association for Experiential Education international Award, has been home to summer youth programming for over 100 years. Summer camping trip in the process of planning. Location will be at RIMROCK LAKE again this year, close to the same area for those that participated last year. Will post more details as time comes along. Scheduled date will be the last weekend of June for certain.

Youth Leadership Summit 2.0
Held in Ashland, Nebraska at Carol Joy Holling Camp and Retreat Center, this event will gather youth from across the ELCA for intentional leadership development and faith formation. Our guests include Presiding Bishop Eaton, Kevin Strickland, Assistant to the Presiding Bishop/Executive for Worship, Stephen Bouman, Executive Director for Congregational and Synodical Missions of the ELCA, and several other wonderful speakers and teachers. Our featured presenter is Lyle Griner who will be coaching us on Peer Ministry. Each synod will select two youth to participate and send one adult to accompany them on the journey. Registration will be covered by a special grant. Your only responsibilities will be travel and being open to what God has in store for you through this event. Registration closes on October 1, 2015.

Girls Volleyball - Sanford Day Camp
This year Delaware Volleyball Association will be running our volleyball program. DVA is known throughout the tri-state region for developing players who go on to succeed in their high school and college careers. Some DVA alumni will be on the US Olympic team this year. Players will be taught the fundamentals of serving, passing, setting and spiking. Teamwork around the net will be emphasized. Players can expect a good workout every day. ---------- LOCATION: Sanford School. Please drop your child off at the Sports Center at 8:45 a.m. Pick up will be in the same location at 3:15. ---------- WHAT TO BRING: Light-weight, loose fitting shirts, shorts, socks and sneakers. Knee pads and jump rope are also required. Water Bottle Bathing suit and towel for free swim in the afternoon. Lunch, unless purchasing from Camp. ($35.00/per week) A drink will be provided for all by the Camp.
