Dates: June 27-July 1 Time: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm for Boys Entering Grades K-8 Format: One-week session Location: Laurels Butler Campus in Russell Township Tuition: Boys-Only Camp: $325/session Get a jump on the season with an intense week of fitness and skill training! This first-class soccer camp focuses on enhancing individual skills, building team tactics and teaching intricacies of the game. In addition to soccer skills, campers will spend time in our state-of-the-art 16,000-square-foot fitness center while working with Laurels certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to learn about lifting techniques, agility, speed, ACL injury prevention and nutrition. Participants will be split into groups based on age and experience. Coach Dennis Weyn - Director of Coaching for Ohio Premier Soccer Club and Eastside Kickers, Dennis is a former member of the U16 and U18 Dutch National Teams and played professional soccer in the Netherlands and the US. Mansfield State Historic Site is hosting an “immersive” event that will allow you to experience what many of the soldiers of the American Civil War did. Be enlisted, set up your camp, drill, enjoy a period type lunch, and more! There are 16 slots available for this program and pre-registration is required. Registration is $25 (paid on day of program) for each child, which includes the meal. The last day for Pre-Registration is April 8th. Tiger Cub Camp II - LSU Basketball Practice Facilities and PMAC
For campers entering Kindergarten thru entering 2nd grade Geared toward introducing the game of basketball and helping young campers improve their skills. Fun games and enthusiastic teaching throughout the week. A tremendous feature of the Tiger Cub Camp is the lower baskets. New-US Writing Workshop SII (11th-12th) - Francis W Parker
Parkers new summer Writing Workshops for students entering grades 10-12 offers students the opportunity to learn, explore, review and practice a variety of writing skills, including grammar, usage and sentence structures. These intensive, one-week workshops will help students fill gaps, develop comfort, and prepare for future classroom writing experiences. These workshops will be taught by members of the Francis Parker English Department Faculty. In the workshop for rising 11th and 12th graders, students will work in a variety of genres including persuasive, analytical, narrative and creative, with a special concentration on grammar/usage and the personal essay. A small class size ensures that students will have time to gain understanding and confidence in their writing. 773.797.5104
Girls Volleyball Day Camps Session #2 - Hollinger Fieldhouse
The Day Volleyball Camps offer instruction at the beginner and advanced levels. Beginners will focus on knowledge of the game, competitive fun, and fundamental ball control. Advanced campers will cover the proper technique for basic skills, offensive playsets, defensive formations, strategy, teamwork and attitude, and setting personal and team goals. Campers will be placed on teams, depending on skill level, with specialized coaching on each level. Each camper should bring comfortable volleyball or cross train-ing sneakers, extra shirt and socks, and a container of water. WCU and its camp staff are not responsible for lost or missing items. This program is for children in grades 1-4th and all skill levels. The philosophy behind the program is to teach basic skills and fundamentals, develop athletic skills, make new friends, and most importantly have fun! The program stresses good sportsmanship at all times. All equipment will be provided. This is a good program to put your child in if theyre baseball, football, basketball, and/or hockey players. Many of the physical skills worked on during the camp will crossover to those sports. All equipment is provided. The camp is coached by Stoughton High School Coach Josh Wollin and assistants. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please contact the Recreation Department for late registration availability. The perfect break from those long hot August days, come join us for Splash Down Camp! Nearly all activities have a water based theme, spend your afternoons cooling off in the pool or take the opportunity to cruise around the lake or just simply sit off the dock with a fishing pole enjoying the friendship of fellow campers, while swapping fish stories. Our evening activities will also be water based such as the water balloon games.
