Nasimco Youth Leadership Retreat 2016 - Fruitland Park, FL
NASIMCO is pleased to announce the 2016 Youth Leadership Retreat with the theme of “Thinking Outside the Box: Making Your Voice Count!” This year the retreat will be held in sunny Orlando, Florida. It is an initiative led by youth with the vision of creating a forum for dialogue to enhance the ability of participants to think outside the box, engage in self-reflection, become socially conscious and have the confidence to act upon it in their local and global communities. This year’s retreat is hosted by the Husseini Islamic Center of Florida, INC. at the Warren W. Willis United Methodist Camp in sunny Fruitland Park, Florida. The retreat will combine facilitated workshops, debates, dialogue and recreational activities in order to optimize learning opportunities for all participants. It will take place during the Labour Day weekend, from September 2nd to September 5th, 2016. The intended participants are all youth ages 18 to 25. Registration is USD $200.00 per participant, which includes food, lodging, and ground transportation within Orlando. Spaces at the retreat are limited to 30 participants. 04 Summer Fun Camp 9 Ages 5-12 - High School
Camp will meet from 7:00-5:30pm. Activities will include: arts and crafts, passive games,educational games, group activity games, sports, strength and conditioning, rhythms, and free play. There will be swimming from 4:00-5:00pm in the Middle School pool. Activities will be geared for children 5-12 years of age. Bring a snack, swim suit and towel. In order to register for this activity, you must first click to open the participation waiver and then place your initials in the left box to confirm that you read and agree. Little Linguists Spanish Camp - Norwood Local Park
Are we in Mexico? You would think you were with all the fun Mexican crafts, games, sports and music. Create your own mask, pinata, sombrero, maracas and much more. All in Spanish! Vamos Amigos! Bring your bathing suit each day for water fun! On Wednesday, Campers walk to the Bethesda pool adjacent to the park. Campers must pass a swimming test or stay in the shallow end.
