Paddle New York Summer Camp Weekend :Black River - Watertown, NY
When the water gets low the Black is the place to be. Great playboating at Hole Brothers, and a great river running all weekend. Boaters of all skill levels are welcome. Friday: Evening: Sunset surf session at Hole Brothers. Drinks and food at Maggie's on the River. Saturday: Morning surf session followed by a river run Freestyle clinics will be available. 4-H Teen Winter Retreat - Jackson, OH
Registration for the retreat will be held on Saturday, January 30, from 3– 4 p.m. and will dismiss at 10 a.m. on Sunday, January 31. The Teen Winter Retreat will feature many fun events, activities and programs. You will need to bring your completed health form and activity release form that is signed by your parent/guardian in order to participate. Please bring warm clothes and comfortable shoes as we will probably be taking part in some outdoor activities during the retreat. You will also need to bring your own, bedding, towels and bathroom supplies. Registrations should be submitted by Friday, January 22 to Canter’s Cave 4-H Camp.

Audition-Only College Level Teen Acting Intensive with Special Guest Instructors - Arts Effect Downtown
** PLEASE NOTE: You must audition and be accepted into this class BEFORE you register. This college-level acting workshop lead by Katie Cappiello and Meg McInerney along with Tisch School of The Arts faculty guests will focus on intense scene study and character development. Students will be challenged by advanced sense memory, improvisation, and text analysis exercises as they prepare scenes to be presented at the end of the workshop. Students will be assigned and emailed a scene prior to the workshop. This 5-day master class will require students to not only work in class on their pieces but also independently with scene partners outside of class – as they would in any theater arts college program. Science in the City Camp provides students with a full week to explore a science topic alongside passionate faculty. Science in the City courses will activate campers imaginations as they are encouraged to invent, engage and explore. Using Chicago as a resource, campers will connect science activities with everyday life. See options for specific course offerings each week. LUNCH: Science in the City campers must bring their own peanut-free bag lunches and drinks each day. Refrigerated facilities are not provided. An insulated lunch box with an ice pack is recommended.
