This class is for coming 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade artists. Let me enrich your childs summer with a 6 week study of art. Sign up for a private hour of art in which I will come to your home and work with your child. The hour will include: working with the Elements and Principles of Design, experimenting with various media and techniques and learning to mount and display finished pieces, and connecting to art history. If there are siblings that are in the required grade levels, it will be an additional $63 for each additional artist. This fee includes all supplies. Dates and times will be scheduled directly with Pat Swearingen at 316-771-2289

On Friday, February 17th, starting at 5:00 PM and ending at 7:00 PM, Aroostook Teen Leadership Camp (ATLC) will be hosting Stew Night at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club. For $6, you can get a combo of a Main Dish (Tomato Soup, Taco Soup, Chicken Stew, Venison Chili and Beef Stew), roll, drink and a dessert. Grilled cheese sandwiches will also be available to purchase for $1.00. Come on out and let us do the cooking for you! TEENS will participate in a Boot CAMP(Confident Adolesents Maturing Positively) and discuss topics such as, peer pressure, building confidence and communication skills, managing emottions and making healthy choices.

For campers age 4-6. Sharks are either born from eggs or their mom has them. But however theyre born, theyre on their own as soon as theyre out in the water. That means theyve got teeth and fins and they can swim and they have to catch food. Baby Shark, go get ‘em! What does a little shark eat? Where do they find food? How big are they? Lets see. And did you know sharks have really strange sand papery skin? Youll see why. Were going to pretend were shark pups and make our own shark fins! Come fin around in the water with us! We dont bite! Beginning Fishing Camp - Black Hill Visitor Center
Enjoy a week of fishing fun and adventure while learning how, when, and where to catch freshwater fish. Well fish Little Seneca Lake first to get some experience, and then travel to waters outside of the park for new challenges. Park naturalists will provide expert, hands-on instruction on balanced tackle, live bait, artificial lure selection, knots, casting, and the latest fishing techniques. Well send out an itinerary and equipment list prior to camp. The camp fee includes all bait and a well-equipped tackle pack with a variety of lures and hooks perfect for the beginning angler. Develop a sense for recognizing the thematic (the directors goal of the film), dramatic (storytelling elements) and stylistic aspects (genre) of a movie. Besides having fun at the movies and eating popcorn each week with your friends, you can share your insights and newly found skills of thoughtfully critiquing a film. Well usually take two after school sessions to watch one movie. Each Monday well watch half of a film and follow with a brief discussion, which includes identifying key characteristics and sharing what we thought worked well or not.
