LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Swim, Tennis and Flag Football Camp - Community Services Department - City of Palo Alto
Please sign up early for our popular tennis, flag football & swim camps held at Palo Altos Rinconada Park and Pool. Participants start each day with a tennis lesson 10-11:30am from the staff of Tennis program. Following tennis, the participates will eat with swim staff to eat from 11;30 am until 12:30 pm in the Rinconada Park. Following lunch the participates will head out to the field to engage in flag football from 12:30-2:30 pm with the Skyhawks coaching staff. After Skyhawks flag football, the participants will head over to the Rinconada Pool where they will enjoy swimming lessons, water games and be supervised by our lifeguards. Cost includes tennis lessons, soccer lessons, entrance to recreation swim, and supervision. Participants should bring a bag lunch, tennis racket, bathing suit, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and a towel each day. Ages 8-12. Pre and Post Care will be available before and after this camp. Campers are taught all aspects of the game. A typical day at camp includes station work with emphasis on fundamentals such as shooting, passing, footwork, defense, rebounding, and ball handling. We also have a variety of contests, drills, league games, and a tournament at the end of each camp. Throughout our camps we put a special emphasis on our core values, Appreciation, Enthusiasm, Competitiveness, Teamship and Accountability. With appearances from our Texas Mens Basketball coaching staff and players, our campers get an inside look at what it is like to be a part of an elite division one basketball program. Sport camps and clinics conducted by The University of Texas are open to any and all entrants. Enrollment is limited only by age, grade level, gender, and capacity restrictions as specified by each camp. Please note that NCAA guidelines prohibit payment of camp expenses (e.g., transportation, camp fees, spending money, etc.) by a representative of The University of Texas athletics interests.
