KAMMA Camp (Kid's Art, Music, Movement, & Acting) - Marysville, CA
6 - 14 year olds are invited to participate in Yuba Sutter Arts first Kid's Art, Music, Movement and Acting (KAMMA) Camp, July 18th - July 22nd daily from 9am - 3:30pm. Kid's will take part in a well-rounded variety of artistic activities. At the end of the week, on Friday, July 22nd, an art show and performance will be held at 6pm in the Lee Burrows Center For the Arts, Theater. Full and half-day registrations are available. _7th-9th Grade - Just Write It - Rice University at The Anderson-Clarke Center
This session is designed to get you excited about creative writing. You will write daily and learn about various forms and techniques, including prose, memoir, short stories, and poetry. You will discuss the nuts and bolts of writing, and through fun, interactive writing exercises, youll develop your own voice, be inspired by words, and explore your imagination. Our professional writers and teachers will show you how you can use writing to explore issues that are important to you. At the end of the session, you will share finished pieces in a celebration, and you will take home a portfolio of your own work. 713-523-3877

SJC - Sports Girls Lacrosse - SJC Long Island
Female lacrosse players of all ability levels are welcome to attend this camp. Athletes will develop technical and tactical skills needed to be a successful player. Session will consist of agility, stick skills, offensive and defensive strategy and teamwork drills. Campers will participate in position specific drills as well as scrimmages and other competitions. Create both sculptures and functional pieces out of clay, using a variety of techniques and exploring texture and form. The older group will include instruction on the potters wheel. $30 materials fee is due to instructor at first class. Theme: Fairy Tale Adventures Silly characters take to the stage! Through improvisation, special guest artist workshops, art projects, theatre games and rehearsals, campers will learn the basics of acting. Along the way they will discover new ways of collaborating with peers and the joy of performing. Past workshops have included stage make-up, choreography, singing, yoga, and swordplay!
