In this program, designed exclusively for teenagers, students will develop a new sense of confidence and empowering self-reliance as they explore nature, ancient skills, and the lore of the Native Americans. Wilderness Survival Skills are the core of this program. Students will learn numerous outdoor skills, such as Primitive fire-making, shelter building, safe water purification and how to identify wild edible and medicinal plants. From here we'll expand outward and introduce your teenagers to variety of nature awareness exercises. These lessons will engage and enhance all of their senses and heighten their level of Awareness for their entire lives. Teens will come away with a true understanding and respect for nature and life in this great program.

Home School Day: Take it Apart - The Mini Maker
During this session the kids are given safety instruction for every day use of basic hand tools such as screw drivers. Your kids work in groups to take apart every day household items that the kids are familiar with. This includes non-operational power tools, computers, home printers, alarm clocks, DVD players, ect. This session is designed for the kids to understand the concept that every day items are built and there are components, big or small inside of them. ET-FP-U13-U18 Boys and Girls - Meredith College Turf Field
Player Evaluation Events are held to determine readiness/acceptance into the Elite Technique program. Elite Technique is a 40-week training program divided into four, 10-week Cycles (two, 10-week Fall programs and two, 10-week Spring programs). Fall sessions run from early August through mid-December; Spring sessions run from early January through mid-June. One training session per week for 1¼ hours per session. Cost = $185 for each 10-week Cycle (paid before the start of each 10-week cycle); players will also be required to purchase one Elite Technique training jersey for the program (~$25). You must register for the entire 40-week series – registration for individual Cycles is not an option. Players may withdraw from the program at the end of a Cycle and future Cycles will not be charged. Two levels of the RailHawks Elite Technique field-player program: Elite Technique PLATINUM: Comprised of high-level Classic players. New players must register/attend a Player Evaluation Event to determine readiness/acceptance into the ET-Platinum or ET-Gold program. The one hour instructional sessions combine fundamental skills instruction with organized team competition with the goal of providing an enjoyable and educational after school athletic event. Developing players benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while, at the same time, learning how to work within the framework of a team. Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to join. One of the many merits of After School Hoops® is that it provides school children with an organized after school event at which they can learn, socialize, and most of all, have fun. Parents and teachers often express concern that idle and unsupervised after school hours provide too many negative temptations for their children. Using athletics as the vehicle, After School Hoops® provides children with an opportunity to improve their overall physical fitness, develop sportsmanship and athletic integrity, and gain an understanding of the game of basketball.
