This club meets on the second Saturday of each month and covers the fundementals of acting and audition techniques. Students will have the oppurtunity to master the use of their voice and body to create a character. Students will also be able to participate in "mock auditions" ( cold readings, prepared sides, movement, etc. ) to gain more experience for various audition expectations. Curtains (A Broadway Musical Whodunnit)- 4 weeks - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
Newly licensed for teen productions, Curtains is a musical send-up of backstage murder mysteries set in the brassy, bright, and promising year of 1959 where Bostons Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night performance of a new musical, Robbin Hood of the Old West. The show follows the fallout when the supremely untalented star of the show is murdered during her opening night curtain call and the entire cast and crew are immediately suspects. It is up to Lt. Frank Cioffi, a police detective who moonlights as a musical theater fan to save the show, solve the case, and maybe even find love before the show reopens, without getting killed himself. This Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee is filled with Broadway favorites like "What Kind of Man?", "The Womans Dead," and "Show People." Junior Camp Session 7 - Monday-Thursday 8:30-10:30 AM - New Mexico State University Golf Course
NMSU Golf Course will once again be hosting Junior Golf Camps throughout the summer. Instructional Programming will be AGE and ABILITY specific. Junior Golfers of all abilities are encouraged to sign up for our camps. NMSU GC summer camps are a great way to introduce your child to the game and or help them elevate their game to the next level for those aspiring to play on a high school or college golf. Instruction will be lead by Jason White, PGA Head Golf Professional with the assistance of our Junior Golf Leader Tyler Aynes and NMSU PGA Golf Management Students. Maximum Student to Instructor ratio will be 7:1. The Camp will meet at the NMSU Driving Range if you need directions feel free to contact the NMSU ProShop 575-646-3219. We will meet Monday-Thursday from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM. Please have your child or children ready to go at 8:30 AM and be ready to pick them up at 10:30 AM. We will have water available for the kids to drink but it is recommended that your child brings a water bottle. Girls Volleyball - Sanford Day Camp
This year Delaware Volleyball Association will be running our volleyball program. DVA is known throughout the tri-state region for developing players who go on to succeed in their high school and college careers. Some DVA alumni will be on the US Olympic team this year. Players will be taught the fundamentals of serving, passing, setting and spiking. Teamwork around the net will be emphasized. Players can expect a good workout every day. ---------- LOCATION: Sanford School. Please drop your child off at the Sports Center at 8:45 a.m. Pick up will be in the same location at 3:15. ---------- WHAT TO BRING: Light-weight, loose fitting shirts, shorts, socks and sneakers. Knee pads and jump rope are also required. Water Bottle Bathing suit and towel for free swim in the afternoon. Lunch, unless purchasing from Camp. ($35.00/per week) A drink will be provided for all by the Camp. Middle School Survivor Camp - Mount Shepherd Retreat Center
Survivor Camp is a challenging adventure camp that will develop outdoor living skills — specifically, build a raft to use on the pond, go mountain climbing at Pilot Mountain, learn knots and rope crafts and cooking over a fire. From Monday night to Thursday night survivor campers spend each night outside. Campers learn the leave no trace philosophy. Survivor campers will go through high adventure courses, swim and canoe and have nightly de-briefing times and devotions. 336-629-4085
