Discussions may include qualities of good writing, overcoming writers block, writing motivation, craft of writing, anti-bias and multicultural themes and much more. Children are exposed to a wide range of literature, are taught to use author studies, and gain other strategies to help their work shine. An art exploration component may include graphic design; value study; use of color, drawing and illustration; and experimenting with collage, watercolor, colored pencil and more. Writers and illustrators display their work in an exciting award ceremony and potluck. Campers plan this Friday activity to show off their work to parents and friends.
