2016 Leadership Track Program (Ages 15-17) - James Camp @ Mingus Springs
Camp Quest Arizona is a place for fun, friends, and freethought for kids ages 8-17. Our camp provides a traditional sleepaway summer camp experience with a wide range of activities such sports, crafts, games, fishing and campfires*. In addition to our traditional summer camp activities, Camp Quest Arizona offers educational activities focused on critical thinking, ethics, scientific inquiry, philosophy, and comparative religion. Camp Quest Arizona is open to all children and teenagers within the age range, but it is particularly geared towards building a community for children from atheist, agnostic, humanist and other freethinking families. Our goal is to provide a place where children can explore their developing worldviews, ask questions, and make friends in an environment that is supportive of critical thinking and skepticism. Campers aged 8-14 participate in our standard camp program. Campers agent 15-17 participate in the Leadership Track (LT) - a program designed to cultivate leadership skills. Ever had that urge to fold up that quiz that you didnt do so well on and send it ripping across the room, only to realize youd probably end up sitting in detention for your fine flight! Well have no fear, join Club Scientific for Flyin Fierce where it will be expected that youll fold a phenomenal flying machine and if you cant, then well show you how. Toys, darts, stunts, gliders, even balsa wood flyers will be the focus. Believe you have engineering qualities such as designing, building and testing? Well Club Scientific is coming to test your abilities in all three areas with Construction Chaos! Evening Camp - Hillgrove High School
This soccer camp focuses on improving players through fun, dedicated games and activities. Players will be actively engaged the entire time they are attending the camp. Character education is also an important part of the camp. All camps are for boys and girls. Players will be grouped by age and ability. *Each child must bring appropriate shoes for the field and for the gym, a water bottle with his/her name on it, and an appropriately sized ball. 845-649-3077

Engineering - Build It! - Middle School
This course is being offered in conjunction with the Webb Institute in Glen Cove: a private engineering college that offers a dual major in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Students work individually or in teams to design and build a boat that serves a specific mission. Each team is given a list of materials and then must collaborate on the design and construction of their boat. Student volunteers from Webb will assist the teams in applying engineering and physics to enhance the design of their projects. The week culminates with a field trip to the Webb Institute, where students get to test their construction skills under various conditions, tour their amazing facility, and visit the Robinson Model Basin to put their designs to the test by completing numerous challenges.
