Direct from NEW YORK CITY, Broadway Workshop returns to Saint Michaels Playhouse for its 9th summer. Camp Vermont is a five day musical theater camp. Learn from Broadway Workshops acclaimed staff from New York City, as well as Playhouse stars who have worked on Broadway and at theatres across the country. For 2016 this camp will take place from Tuesday-Saturday (July 5th-9th) Campers will take center stage performing in 2 different hit Broadway musicals medleys specifically arranged for Camp Vermont. Every camper will get to step in the spotlight and be featured with lines and solos. In between rehearsals, campers will participate in theatrical workshops taught by special guest teachers. I cannot believe that I am a part of such an amazing organization that does so much good for kids struggling through so much adversity. Being in an organization like Camp Kesem has opened my eyes to how generous and kind people can be. Camp Kesem is an organization run by students who spend a ton of time all year fundraising money to allow children whose parents have or had cancer go to a fun, stress-free summer camp. Although this is my first year as a part of this wonderful organization, I already feel so strongly connected to all the counselors and want to do as much as I can to allow these kids to go to camp. Hearing all of these stories about how the kids tell such heart-warming stories, I feel like I would learn more from them than they would from me. It gets me even more excited to learn about all the various events we get to set up and how much fun everyone has every year that they go. Exploring Science, Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Through the Art of Glass Blowing and Flameworking Join Ignite Glass Studios for an end of Summer experience like no other! Teens ages 13-17 will work with Ignites’ experienced instructors to learn the arts of Glass Blowing, Solid Sculpting, and Flameworking. No prior glass experience necessary. Our goals for this camp are: To build strong student-leader relationships To build strong peer relationships To meet students right where they are—helping them take that next step in knowing Jesus better. Oh, and there is also possibility of having a lot of fun, too! Students and leaders will be leaving from Trinity at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19th (dinner not provided). From the church, we will drive 45 minutes south to Meadowood Springs. Everyone will be staying the next two nights at the retreat center there. We will be back at Trinity by 12:00 p.m. on Sunday the 21st. The cost of camp is $105. This cost covers travel, lodging, food and fun. A great way for youth athletes to see how they perform at skills related to the sports they play! Power, agility, speed, and strength are assessed to give kids a better understanding of how they can unlock their potential. Results are provided in a fashion that kids understand and motivate them to improve. STRIDES coaches are able to evaluate potential risk of injury and provide them with corrective exercise to reduce inure potential. These performance evaluations are conducted the 2nd Monday of each month at our Northampton and Amherst locations. There is no cost for these evaluations, but capacity is limited. (413) 586-5000
