We are so exited to announce our kids cooking camp! This is a three day camp to be held inside the beautiful Majestic Hall at Walnut Grove. The Camp will include: Day 1 Homemade muffins, strawberry, blueberry, bananas, or chocolate chip Making Pizza from scratch Day 2 Southwest Egg Rolls Quesadillas Day 3 Spring Rolls Stir Fried Noodles with Veggies Each Day will include - snack preparation 10-11 - snack time 11-11:30 - actvity break 11:30 - 12:30 - entree preparation 12:30 - 1:30 - eating time 1:30 - 2:00 Camp fee is $225 per child ages 6-12 We are concerned with the safety of the children atteneding our camp. With this in mind we will not be using knives, all cuttting preparation will be done ahead of time. We will have an adult leader to help oversee each of our cooking stations and we are maxing attendance at 10 children to enusre their safety. We specialize in cattering to those with food allergies. Nerf Counterstrike - Camp Hickory Hill
Your Commander will lead your squad on training missions where you will learn to move with stealth and approach the enemy without detection. You will use camouflage face paint and clothing to become invisible in the trees. When your training is complete, you will prepare for the ultimate test; taking on your counselors in a full counterstrike operation! There will still be plenty of time for other traditional camp activities including swimming, Catan ball, campfires and Bible Exploration!! Creative Writing: Imagination Station - Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School
As kids grow and mature, they sometimes begin to lessen the value of imagination within the context of their writing. This workshop will teach your children appropriate methods by which they can explore creative writing in academic and non-academic settings. Most importantly, it will remind them to value and nurture their imaginations. Activities will include journaling, community creativity circles, character creation, short story drafting, and more. Mr. Chuck Wagner earned his MA in English from the University of Kansas and his MFA from Indiana University. Our camp promotes cooperation, teamwork, and everyone participating. Campers participate in soccer, flag football, dodge ball, tennis, swimming, and a variety of outdoor games. Friday afternoons the campers swim at local pools and take a weekly sports related field trip. Adrian and his staff of coaches make sure the day is balanced with two healthy snacks and time indoors out of the sun! Learning the art of debate will help you understand how to analyze issues, speak with authority and engage others. Debate camp will introduce you to the fundamentals of competitive academic debate while learning the basics of good argument theory, the format and rules of competitive debate, critical thinking, research and speech skills.
