I was excited to find this camp for my 12 year old daughter. She is naturally a quiet child, but she loves horses. This camp helped her stretch outside her comfort zone as she socialized with other children who also shared her love of horses. She couldn’t stop telling us how she explored the prairie on horseback. This summer camp is for teens 13 - 17, who want to learn how to create a production ready short script. Students will be paired in groups of two and will work collaboratively in creating a shootable three to five page script. Students who participate in TheFilmSchool Camp will receive guaranteed admission into the SIFF Teen Production Camp (separate registration and fee through SIFF Education). Scripts from the TheFilmSchool Camp will be chosen for production in the SIFF Teen Production Camp and will be shot at Seattle Center. Date: August 15 - August 19. The ocean is full of action, adventure, and discovery. Take a new journey into the marine environment each day by foot, kayak, or SUP. Learn about bait balls, action packed salt ponds and benthic communities by pulling up animal traps and collecting bottom samples. Thrash on waves using boogie boards, go on a kayak excursion, and help choose our snorkel sites. Pick a new travel destination with your class, and decide the route to take us to our destination. Instructor: Britt Rynearson has been teaching art and design for 14 years and has worked extensively with students ages 3 to 18. She sold her own line of jewelry when she was 11 at local farmers markets! I have a Masters degree in Plant Pathology from India and an associate degree in Labor Studies and Employment Relations from Penn State. I used to work with Young Scholars couple of years back and had a wonderful experience during my time there. My husband is a physician and works with Geisinger and we have two boys.
